A special and unique 'Boulder' property that has rock formations dating back millions of years. As peaceful a setting you'd see in the National Park and with no other visitors! Stargazing and private hiking trails right off the porch of the renovated cabin. Peace, quiet, and Park-like "backyard" make this place an amazing spot to unwind and relax.
Probably the nicest most natural Joshua Tree National Park-like land of all the available Airbnb listings. This place is truly special. Just 10 minutes from the National Park, on acres of private pristine land and wondrous views in a simply modernized 2 bedroom homestead cabin.
Boulders to explore galore, tons of wild animals (road runners, cotton tails, jackrabbits, coyotes, quail), privacy (it is the last house before 100s of acres of uninhabited land) and a great location that is less than a few minutes into town for supplies. On 1/4 of dirt road that's and accessible by absolutely any car.
Clear your mind and enjoy the natural Joshua Tree environment at your own pace. The property is surrounded by a one in a million natural desert landscape as a private "backyard" to explore and hike. This is an amazing spot if you'd like a secluded getaway in a natural setting, with amenities :)
The sky from the house is unimaginable at night - it feels like you're in a fish bowl looking out into the universe - Jupiter, Venus, the Milky Way, can be all visible with the naked eye.
There's wifi, all you'd need to cook, heating/cooling, a new cowboy pool, and a TV with Netflix/HBO for tube gazing!
The property is featured in Lianne La Havas' Music Video, Green and Gold!
Please note: all commercial photography must obtain written permission beforehand. Thank you!
We have spent months getting this place together, so the attachment is strong! Please behave like you would if you were at your own home.
Please don't move or take rocks / any natural items from property!
Fires are not permitted, with the drought if someone sees the smoke it's a guarantee they'll call the fire department. No smoking inside the house please.
All photography must be disclosed and terms agreed upon in writing prior to booking! No music is allowed outside, and please only very respectfully inside. The house is secluded and private but any sound bounces off the boulders and through the ravine and miles away neighbors can get cranky!
Any guests above the number the booking was made for must be announced beforehand, even if they're "not staying over" ! Thank you!

I'm Ryan, I've been out in Joshua Tree for 3 years. Falling in love with the high desert kind of took me my surprise. It is so incredibly peaceful, tranquil, serene, and inspirational. It's a great place to 'get away from it all' and discover your connections with nature and with yourself. I have a few places out here, all projects that I bought in rundown rough shape and fixed up myself.
My first one is in the Joshua Tree Village (JT Village Park Blvd one) that is rented as a house (for up to 4 people), a guest house (2 people, JT Village GH one), and both together (6-7 people, the "Full Experience" listing). They're within walking distance to the little town: the Saloon, Crossroads, the local Farmer's market, the National Park Visitor's center, the JT Health Foods store.
The other ones (360, Land of the Lost Boulders, Starfire, Chaparral Mesa, the Power Plant and the Outpost) are all within 15 minutes from the town. The Leeds Cabin is 25 minutes. 360 is about incredible views, boulders, and wildlife - more adorable animals than I've seen anywhere in the Morongo Basin. The Lost Boulders house sits on the most serene and explorable land, and has a spectacular energy inside. Starfire has an unmatched setting - perched on top of a hill, the only house on that hill, overlooking it's own mini canyon. The design and feeling at Chaparral Mesa is the most 'frontier'' - a true feeling of being a pioneer in a homesteader cabin. The Power Plant of the Dorthian Löwen (looow-ven), all about sleek modern minimal design, a clutter-free experience that brings out the gorgeous desert colors in the mountains that surround. The Leeds Cabin is a small all-you-need cabin with nothing but beautiful quiet desert surrounds. My most recent project, the Outpost, I picture back in the Wild West a place that you've traveled for a full day to get to, to find out news from back East and rest your head and horse for the night.
I love each and every one of them, they've all been important and valued stages in my life. They have become a part of who I am.
I'd be happy to help plan your time out here, and let me know if you have any questions about the projects or the area in general. They are much more than 'airbnb's to me - I love each and every one of them!
