“I long, as does every human being, to be at home wherever I find myself:” - Maya Angelou

Welcome to your home away from home. Relax, as you sit atop our handmade eucalyptus benches listening to the running waters of the Inkan aqueducts beneath you while you marvel at the stunning view of the ancient Inkan monuments. The location of our Casa is ideally situated on a cobblestone pedestrian street in the “old town” section of Ollantaytambo, just 5 minutes from the Plaza and all attractions. In the morning after checking your email for we have WiFi throughout the house, enjoy a tasty breakfast of eggs, fresh warm rolls and local organic jams. During the day, we’d be happy to help you organize unique excursions to amazing local sites that are off the beaten path. In the evening, enjoy a cup of warm tea from our kitchen, watch a DVD in our cozy living room or gaze at the stars from our rooftop nook. Finally retire to our beautiful and traditional Quechua (Inkan) handcrafted beds with high quality mattresses for a good night’s sleep. Once you’ve stayed with us you will know why we are called Casa de Wow!!!

Location Information:
Once considered an afternoon stop-over on the way to MachuPicchu, more and more visitors are deciding to make Ollantaytambo the primary destination from whence they can experience the Sacred Valley and all it has to offer. In contrast to Cuzco, the small village atmosphere, lower altitude and easy access to incredible hikes has prompted many of our guests to feel more comfortable here and thus extend their stay. Ollantaytambo is called “the last living Inka village” as it has been continuously inhabited since the 13th century. It was the town for the Inkan Nobility and High Priests and once you are here it is hard not to notice the magic. So come walk the streets of gigantic jigsaw stonework or try some chichi (Inka Beer- fermented corn) with the indigenous people who are the direct descendents of the Inkas. Let us introduce you to some of these wonderful local people who can guide you into their world, provide cultural connection within traditional communities where tourist seldom venture and lead you on stunning treks through the natural wonder.

I could not have found a better place and be welcomed by nicer people!!! Communication is excellent, position and view amazing!! I was welcomed by Glember and Wow with happy faces and open arms. Glember showed me to the train station for Machu Picchu, where to eat good and cheap food and gave me suggestions on what to see in the area. A good breakfast is also included!! I decided at the last minute to go to Machu Picchu and without the help of his sister Jackeline it may have been very difficult..but I got there with only one days notice!!! Thank you so much Casa de Wow..I loved my stay :)

Casa de Wow is a terrific place to stay! Check in was smooth, breakfast was great (the owner and his family ate with us), and very good location! They set up a taxi service for us to tour around surrounding areas and even though there was a small hiccup, it was all resolved very quickly and with no stress! I cannot recommend them enough, also very helpful with all questions we had

Ambiente muito receptivo. O Roberto é muito atencioso e Glember faz qualquer coisa pra resolver os problemas, muito eficiente o garoto. Preço bom, perto do centro e em frente às ruínas. Ambiente acolhedor e com café da manhã. Recomendo.

The place is great. We were able to check in at 11 pm (we'd taken the last train out of aguas calientes) and were provided a delicious breakfast cooked by our host in the morning. Very friendly, open, and relaxed feeling. Has a great view of the ollantaytambo ruins.

Casa de Wow!!! began as the creative venture of Winn and Wow.
Winn comes from Asheville, NC in the United States. She had a three month trip planned for Peru and upon arriving in Ollantaytambo was unable to stick to her return schedule. She found the traditional culture, natural beauty and ease of life in Ollanta irresistible. Winn is into permaculture, progressive consciousness, divine feminine and spiritual adventure. She also just published her first book called, Death is a Miracle!

Wow (aka Roberto Canal Luna) is a native quechua of Ollantaytambo. His family heritage traces back to the days of the Inkas and his family home here retains original Inkan stonework. Wow is an incredible creative artist. He works in many mediums, though fabric art is his first passion. Wow also is a spiritual guide, working with the local plant spirit medicine, whacuma... his tours are amazing, authentic and unique!
