I am a retired New York City teacher. Would hate to think that there is something that I can't live without other than food, water and air. Of course Africa is one of my favorite travel destinations, especially North Africa, East and West Africa. Parts of the Middle East is also an intriguing travel destination. My reading is diverse; from mysteries, to autobiographies, novels and books with a science theme "The Immortal Life of Henriette Lack". Another genre of literature is documentation of the lives of groups of people, "The Warmth of Other Suns" My music preference is as diverse as my taste in literature. And I must say, that I enjoy trying foods from most cultures, especially foods of Spanish cultures. I have been traveling to Africa since 1970's. I have always involved myself in community work, helping to improve the conditions of inner city youth and young adult though education. Friends OF BRIGHT MINDS the community based organization, of which I am co-founder, have given teacher workshop in Gambia, we sponsor school children at home and aboard. This is who I am, an educator especially when children are involved. "A bright mind will light the way" If you want to travel to a place where the people are friendly, you can relax, enjoy the birds, water and sand; then my place, HUSSANA's GUEST HOUSE PARADISE is for you.
