This is very surprising because on multiple occasions I asked Ugorji if she was happy with her stay and if there were any issues. I understand that she was extremely busy with her schooling, however she did not talk much about any issues even after I asked on more than one occasion.
We offered to take her out to make her stay even better and she could have mentioned this to us during that time. Ugorji is right about the flooding. This NEVER happens! A sock had been misplaced over the sink unit in the laundry bin that caused the sink to plug up. I immediately fixed this issue (which she doesn't mention). I will also be installing a foldable mesh top to prevent items from causing further issue. As for the insects that were not mentioned to me at the time, had I known this after being told, I would have called in pest control right away to have this taken care of. It is my belief that you take the best care of your guests as possible, however it's not easy knowing what is happening every minute of the day, this is why I ask how guests are doing on multiple occasions since I do not enter their rooms where they are living.
The basement was given waterproof treatment that cost several thousand dollars to ensure dryness. and there is a sump pump with water pumped out every 15-30 minutes which we cleanse every few days so the water is definitely not stagnant.
- To note - The basement room is a temporary space and there was an image of this. A previous tenant below (Rachel) who was in the exact same room mentioned the only issue she has was the noise since there is a heater and sump pump. I made sure to add earplugs since this was the case. I've had 3 other individuals as well stay down there with no issues and no complaints.
One thing I did not mention was the fact that Ugorji was a bit demanding at one point. After we took her out for dinner, she needed and important document printed out in which "her career depended on it" and demanded a printer if I had one. I mentioned I would look to see if I could come up with something to help her (since it is in my nature to try to lend a helping hand if possible). I tried to help her and since I am still organizing my home could not find it in time for her. After that point she refused to talk and seemed to be in an very upset/angry mood since I couldn't find a printer for her and for the rest of the time didn't talk much to me after I would say hi in the morning to her (when I try to chat and check in to see how guests are doing). After that point I got the review above that is extremely dramatic. Based on my other reviews below, I would say this is quite a 180.
* Due to the issues Ugorji failed to mention to me (nor anyone else staying here), I have taken her comments into account and will ensure that this room is safe. All issues have been taken care of.
