Private master bedroom in spacious, turn-of-the-century gem of a duplex, with original woodwork, high ceilings and free parking, close to light rails, Nice Ride bikes, U of Minnesota, Augsburg College, and much eclectic food, arts and music.
Private bedroom in a beautiful, light-filled rehabbed duplex with comfortable queen-size four-poster bed, credenza, and lovely original artwork on the walls. Our cozy, spacious family home, built by Norwegian immigrants over 100 years ago, is at the hub of public transportation, education and healing (two colleges, many hospitals, a vibrant arts community), bike trails and the great Mississippi. Come enjoy Minneapolis from this creative heart of the city; we're homey and folksy yet within 20 minutes (by various modes of public transportation) of the city center.

The homeowner/host is a friendly introvert, thus practices the golden rule, and gives guests as much privacy as possible, but she is happy to help with information and directions to unique, delicious nearby eating establishments. The three cats live on other floors and are not allowed in the Airbnb, so you won't likely see the sweet felines.
Enjoy the original artworks on the walls, created by the homeowner and her artist daughter. If you have time in your busy schedule, arrange to sit for a two-hour sitting, and have your portrait painted by Heidi. She keeps the original, you take a digital photo and are immortalized!
QUIET PLEASE. SHOES OFF. NO SMOKING. This is a QUIET house for rest and study between adventures out in the the city. Please refrain from using perfumes and scented products, and use earphones for your media, thank you!

Artist, handy-woman, budding gardener, practicing yoga & sometimes jogging! We at Heidihouse use art as a tool for healing, & if you come in season you'll find me out digging in the yard to bring the fruits of my farming ancestors to the city.
