Capitol Court Midtown Lodge is an entire private house with a big fenced-in yard. It's surrounded by some of Austin's best restaurants and shops, just minutes from downtown, and a taco's throw to all major transit and bike routes. It's literally quesadilla'd between Austin's two best breakfast taco joints!

Inside, you'll find a spacious open-concept living / dining area. The comfy queen beds are made with plush organic sheets. We clean with non-toxic products and the house was painted with NO-VOC paint. In the fully-equipped kitchen you'll find a gas range, microwave and dishwasher. The lovely living room has AppleTV with free Netflix. Super-fast and secure WIFI is available throughout the house. The sparkling new bathroom features a retro tiled walk-in shower. And the stackable washer/dryer in the master bedroom make long trips a lot easier.

Basically, Capitol Court is a quaint little homestead where you can live well and enjoy all Austin has to offer!

We're typically on hand to get you checked in, or if you like, you can let your self in via a combination lockbox. The house has large fenced front and back yards with furnished seating areas. For ultimate seclusion, you can even close the cool ranch-style front gates, enclosing the entire property and parking area. George W doesn't even have a setup this nice.

The Owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illness that occurs while on the premises. The Owners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. Parties and events involving invited guests not prearranged with Owners are strictly prohibited. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. In the event of an emergency, owners may cancel a reservation at their discretion prior to check-in. Payments for reservations canceled by Owners will be refunded in full.

Smoking is prohibited inside the house. No pets are allowed. Guests agree not to disturb nearby residents after hours or cause excessive noise after 10pm. Guests agree to return the key and leave the property in the same condition as when rented, save from the reasonable distress that comes from use.

Any damage large or small must be reported to owners prior to checkout. If something breaks, please notify us before replacing it.

Prior to checkout, guests should wipe any water from countertops and sinks, hang wet towels, and take trash/recycling to the bins outside. If extra cleaning is required, an additional cleaning fee will be deducted from the deposit.

Dan's place was impeccably decorated and very clean. The location was close to shops, bars and restaurants and just a short drive to downtown. Highly recommend!

Beautiful accommodations! I was looking for a place close to a convention that I was attending at a nearby hotel. Dan was ultra responsive to help me better understand how close the proximity was from his house to the hotel convention. Boy oh boy was I glad I chose Dan's house over the hotel the rest of my coworkers stayed. Really beautiful property! Amazingly designed and gorgeous furniture...such attention to detail. It was so nice after a long day to come back to pure peace and quiet. Britt, I need your help here in San Diego with my house! You made me want to immediately come home and throw out everything I own. ;) Walkable to an area close by called the Triangle...lots of shops and restaurants. I walked over to get a mani-pedi from Retreat Nail Bar. Really nice place! I also HIGHLY recommend Picnik, a newer restaurant about a mile away. I ate there 3 times in two days. I also found this link helpful: (URL HIDDEN) I tried a few places that she recommends too...really great food in Austin! Thank you, Dan! Great stay.

Dan's house was true to the beautiful photos. He was extremely easy to communicate with and the check-in process was seamless. The house was perfect for our quick weekend getaway and I recommend it if you're looking for a peaceful base from which to explore an awesome city.

Awesome place to stay. Very secluded. Love the set up and amenities. Wish it came with fresh fruit or something. A bit of an odor. Other than that It was perfect. Really enjoyed the stay.

Thanks for the note. We were a bit shocked by Daianna's feedback about an odor since she didn't mention anything during her stay and it's not something we've ever noticed- we inspect the house before after every guest. Upon further investigation, we found was was causing the aroma: some old groceries had been left by a previous guest in the back of a cabinet and were overlooked by our cleaners. Issue corrected! :-)

Dan is a great host and has very thoughtfully furnished this home. We stayed for 40 days and found the location incredibly convenient and quiet as well as a terrific value, particularly for long stays.
