Hi Meg! Thank you again for staying with us. The guest network is a password protected walled garden, which is what you are going to find in the vast majority of hotels. Since the network is not public and is password protected, no one else is on the line to see your data between you and the router. The connection provided to our guests has the benefit over hotels in being more secure than what you are going to find most hotels. If this still a concern for you, I would suggest utilizing a VPN.
Regarding the booklet, we provided extensive details about the house and a guidebook of places to eat and go in Augusta on the listing. Additionally, there were numerous magazines and pamphlets about Augusta and Georgia in the breakfast nook.
As to the television, instructions on how to turn it on and use it were on the listing. If you had reached out to us, we would have quickly responded to assist. Included in the listing is that we use DirecTVNow for cable. We had set the TV conveniently on the Golf Channel so all you would have to do is turn on the TV and press the DirecTVNow button on the Roku remote. To verify this, when I accessed DirecTVNow remotely, it was on the Golf Channel.
We know that the front door knob can be a bit tricky which is why we affixed a note on the door explaining this and how to use it. It is a very old, historic home, built in 1932, with all original fixtures and doorknobs. Some people find this charming, I’m sorry it was an inconvenience for you all. However, there are two additional doors that you could have exited and entered from that do not have this issue.
We are glad you appreciate the value of going through airBnB for your Masters Tournament week rental as opposed to renting through a company, which is substantially more expensive.
Thank you again and hope you have made it home safely!
