Hi Sarah, thanks for your kind comments, I was nice to meet and host you.
Regarding the price, i think you should know that in the Lake District rooms are expensive. I am at least half the price of all other rooms in the area, and probably 1/3 of the price of basic rooms in Ulverston in peak season. People have actually advised me to charge more, but, with the work in the corridor and bathroom, i just don't think that is fair.
For example, you can expect to pay £30 for a bed in a hostel room here, and that is without all the towels, jams, coffees and other nice stuff i put in the room to make it homely. .
Anyway, its worth doing a comparision before you make a judgement on that.
I appreciate it might be different in different parts of the country.
Lastly, I actually only charge £22 for the room, which I think is an excellent price, considering what is being offered. The rest is Airbnb fees and cleaning.
Anyway, thanks for giving me a chance to explain all this to guests considering a booking in the future.
All the very best
