Thanks for the feedback. As I mentioned in the guest guide we actually don’t have a council garbage service as we are in a very remote location. You are the first guest in 10 years of renting the house who has complained of this. Again, as explained in the guest guide, we did provide an explanation of where you can take your rubbish.
The lack of a fire pit or any means of building a fire outside is for the safety of guests and the community. We are in a high bushfire danger area and while you might be responsible around fires, we can’t guarantee that other guests will be, so it is safer not to have outdoor fires.
We take the cleanliness of our home seriously. Prior to your arrival we personally did the linen laundry in the industrial machines and dryers in Foster and the bedding was spotless.
As I also explained in an earlier email, we are in one of the windiest locations in the state and are located on a dirt road and that while we vacuumed and dusted before your arrival, some dust entering the house or insect activity in the interim is inevitable. We provide a dust buster for that situation.
We will take on board your comments regarding the sofa bed (though again yours is the first complaint regarding the bed, which unlike most sofa beds has an inner spring mattress).
There is no internet service on the mountain because of its remoteness. Most residents make do with 4G and again this is made clear in the description of the house. We have recently upgraded the TV and following your comments will review the DVD player situation.
Thanks for the feedback and the opportunity to respond.
