What a paradise! Wendy and David are the nicest hosts on earth. Both are incredibly nice, welcoming, and helpful. I stayed in Waiola Guest house for 6 nights and everything was perfect. Lovely place. Great view. Beautiful nature and dorable animals all around, horse, donkeys and two cute big dogs. Fresh eggs and bananas for the breakfast. The place was very comfortable... honestly, I could stay here my entire life. Thank you so much for this amazing stay. I hope I'll be able to come back one of these days!!

The place is clean, quiet and cozy. It has amazing view from the deck, especially in the morning. The place is near the highway to the South point. Wendy and David are very hospitable and introduced us everything about the room. Highly recommend!

Wendy and David were gracious hosts, and our stay was absolutely magical. Such a quiet and peaceful spot, close to nature and an easy drive to many great sights. We cooked several meals at home and were grateful for the well stocked kitchen and grill. The bathtub is phenomenal! If you're still on mainland time like we were, we'd recommend taking advantage of being up early to make the hike out to Green Sands beach before it gets hot and crowded. We also drove to Volcanoes National Park one morning before dawn and watched the sky brighten over Kilauea from the Jagger Museum. There were only a handful of people and it was incredible to see the glow from the lava with stars overhead, and then the sun rise brightening the crater. Ka Lae coffee on the road to South Point is a gem. They have fantastic smoothies, and we met a local farmer there who sold us her own eggs and grass fed beef straight from the back of her car :) We'd highly recommend staying here, and hope to be back someday!

This place is an absolute gem. There is a serene peacefulness that pervades everything here. My partner and I were truly enchanted. Everything was so cozy, comfortable and nourishing. The birdsong is an absolute wonder and gazing out over the pasture every morning from the porch was true soul food. There is truly something special about this place. If you are looking for a retreat to feed your spirit and reconnect to a bit of ease I couldn't recommend Wendy's place more highly.

Wendy and David were such wonderful hosts. They kindly met us, even though it was quite late, and took time to show us around and let us know about the local area. The location is idyllic and we could have enjoyed the view all day. The guesthouse was immaculate and had everything you could need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We hope to return one day.

This cottage is ideal for nature lovers and anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful cottage overlooking your own park like setting. The birding is fantastic, the donkeys and horse are friendly, the house is romantic, the view is fabulous, and the hosts are lovely people. We highly recommend this place. It was difficult to say goodbye.

Wendy and David were great, we were coming from a lava tour that ended at 9 and we had to drive an hour and a half to get to their place. They were very accommodating and met us on the side of the road to ensure we would t miss their road. We both slept great, loved the fresh eggs, and got to say good morning to the donkeys! We hit black sand beach in the early morning and green sand in the early afternoon before heading to kona...thank goodness we beat the crowd! Great stay even though it was short! Mahalo
