Welcome to our simple, clean, and peaceful lower level apartment. It's nothing luxurious, but it is centrally located, and it includes a kitchen stocked with simple cooking appliances.
Please no pets or smoking. We live above the apartment.
Welcome to our quiet furnished garden level apartment! (A garden level apartment is partly below grade.)

Échanges avec les voyageurs
We are flexible. Often we meet our guests to greet them and orient them a bit.
We are quiet, clean and respectful of your space and expect the same thing from visitors.
Just a few things to read before you come:
1. We would appreciate it if you could take off your shoes at the front entry.
There is a place for you to store your shoes/coats/bags as you enter into your apartment.
2. Please place all your recycling in the bins below the sink. The don't have to be sorted and separated.
3. Please no smoking in the backyard or in the house.
4. Please no pets, all three of us are allergic.
5. No parties as we live above the space.
We are in our mid-thirties and recently bought an 1881 townhouse house near Washington Park in downtown Albany.
Shadi is an architect and Jason is a professor. We have two kids. Our friend, and UAlbany doctoral student, Toan, is looking after our house for us this year while Jason's on sabbatical. It's Toan who will greet you at the door and answer any questions you might have. He lives upstairs from the apartment.
We are both transplants to Albany from Boston. We moved about three years ago and we have spent the last year working on renovating the top three floors of our house (above the garden level apartment).
Jason is an avid cyclist and commutes to work every day on his bike (even in the snow!).
When she's not working on buildings, Shadi likes to paint, sew, draw, photograph, and collage.
We've both traveled a lot and stayed in people's homes before the age of airbnb. We've had lovely experiences, and hope that we can provide the same.
