Description

French windows that open out to a garden. Warm coffee served on a private verandah. A pool with a stunning mountain view. This could be your vacation at our home. Our house is centrally located with access to Kandy, Peradeniya, Adam’s Peak and Kitulgala. We grow coffee and spices on our property and we would be happy to show you how these crops are cultivated. You can also tour the local tea factory. Cycle or walk in the area and discover the beauty of Sri Lanka’s 'hill country’.

Our architect designed house is set amidst a lush grove of trees. We grow coffee, cloves, pepper and cinnamon on our land. The gardens are dotted with fruit trees and you can even pick the ingredients for your dinner from our vegetable garden. There is a beautiful river that flows at the bottom of our property There is nothing more relaxing than sitting on our verandah in the mornings with a hot cup of coffee in your hand and being enveloped by the sounds of flowing water and birdsong.

What you can do while you stay with us:
1. Go on a guided walk through our estate and learn how spices and coffee are grown
2. Visit the local tea factory and find out how your favourite cuppa is produced
3. Walk along a lovely shaded pathway and get a glimpse of traditional village life
4.Grab our bikes and go explore beautiful rural areas and tea covered hillsides
5. History buffs can explore ancient temples that are off the beaten track
6. Take a tuk-tuk or we can sort out transport for a day of white water rafting and hikes in the Kitulgala area
7 Head out to Kandy to see the venerated Temple of the Tooth
8. Ask the cook to pack you a lunch and head out to the beautiful Peradeniya gardens - one of Asia’s most beautiful botanical gardens
9. If you stay with us between December and April, then you should consider making the 4 hour climb up Adam’s Peak. The climb begins at 2am and you are at the summit in time for a spectacular sunrise.

We live in a village which is close enough to all the tourist spots but far enough to avoid the noise and traffic. Stay with us to experience life in a Sri Lankan village. Take in the beautiful views of the hills, tea estates and stunning scenery that makes the 'hill country' of Sri Lanka so special.

You can travel around by car, bus or train.

We are happy to help arrange a vehicle to pick you up from the Peradeniya train station if you are arriving by train or you could find your way to our quaint railway station at Ulapane.
