Liz and Mark's cabin is just perfect! It was extremely comfortable and has everything we needed for a weeklong stay. This was by far the most relaxing vacation we have ever had. Simple things became very special here. Coffee on the deck at sunrise, yoga on the dock, canoeing on the extremely peaceful and quiet "pond", napping in the hammocks, sitting by the fire, reading, cooking together and sharing a bottle of wine. The kitchen is well equipped. A cooler with ice is provided, but since we planned on eating in most days, we brought along an extra cooler for food storage. There is a coffee press but we brought along a stove top coffee pot. A few extras we brought along that we made good use of were: book lights, LED puck lights (from the dollar store), a folding camp saw (for firewood) and citronella candles. We saw loons, herons and the beaver! Days went by before we even saw another person on the pond. We look forward to returning to the cabin and that feeling of not having to be anywhere and not having to do anything but relax!

Mark and Liz's cabin was amazing. I was hoping for a relaxing long weekend away for my boyfriend's birthday and that's exactly what we got! The cabin was clean and peaceful. The pond was beautiful and quiet with the sound of loons in the distance. We enjoyed the canoes provided. The grill and fire pit were perfect and we could have laid on the hammocks for hours. Many charming towns are nearby to explore and grocery stores and pharmacies are close by even though the cabin feels a world away. Do not hesitate to book this cabin if you get the chance. Liz and Mark's special touches like peaches and fresh flowers from their garden made the stay feel magical. I will be returning again as soon as I can!

This place and the hosts (Mark & Liz), are nothing short of fabulous! This place is exactly why airbnb was created, in order to give travelers a one of a kind experience. From fresh flowers, farm raised chicken and duck eggs, tree picked peaches, to the private waterfront access with canoes and a paddle boat, this place has it all. Mark and Liz don't scrimp on their attention to detail or their kindness. We can't wait to return!

The cabin is a wonderful, secluded spot. It was great for swimming, canoeing, and relaxing. We saw and heard loons multiple times during our stay. On our last night, a big group of wild turkeys slept in a tree by the cabin. The cabin is rustic, but it had everything we needed!

This is a wonderful rustic cabin in the woods, on a pond! Upon arriving, i felt at home. The cozy couches, the flowers everywhere, the candlelights, Truly, everything i needed was there. Yes, there is a compost toilet outside.... and it was clean and simple to use. And i enjoyed the connection to the stars and the trees. The moon was full and my dog and i swam in the pond. Cooking on the gas stove is simple and there is a cooler with ice to store food. I reccommend bringing another cooler of your own if you are planning on doing alot of cooking. We used candlelights , and there are gas lights to have light at night. The towels are really nice, full and soft! The cabin is close to many great restaurants all the while being secluded in the woods... i would highly recommend this place to stay. I know we are intended to be back soon!

You could not wake up in a more tranquil spot. I was literally awed each day. It's practically your own lake because everyone else is so far away. Couple of times I paddled out in the canoe and I wondered if something was going on somewhere else because it was almost eerily devoid of people. In a good way. Cabin is perched high above the water's edge. I love that. Inside is very cozy and comfy. Great little kitchen. Grill is kinda falling apart but workable. Reading in the hammocks in the late afternoon felt downright indulgent. Can't beat the location! It's totally remote lake-woods, but you can be in the great town of Damariscotta in like 8 minutes, with supermarket, veggie market, gas station, etc., even closer. Dockside lobster pounds are 15 min away. Booth Bay Harbor and Rockland are both about a half hour. Really - I can't wait to go back.
