@Solana Boutique B&B: 2nd floor luxury grand suite closest to the pool (up to 3 guests) with a breaktaking view of Zihuatanejo Bay from your private terrace & outdoor shower! Free wifi, complimentary breakfast daily, infinity pool, gardens - welcome to your peaceful oasis!

This listing is for the beautiful Cocos Suite at Solana Boutique B&B. We have 7 rooms in total (all listed here on AirBnB) housed in three buildings with separate entrances to provide a maximum level of privacy.

We completed construction of our bed and breakfast in 2014 and are excited to welcome you into our home! We designed Solana to be a contemporary retreat with open spaces and a seamless integration between the gorgeous tropical hillside, the spectacular bay & ocean views and our modern Mexican interiors.

The Cocos Suite has a king-size bed as well as a daybed-style sofa to accommodate up to 3 guests. There is also a desk area and a large terrace with hammock and lounge chairs. The ensuite bathroom has an outdoor shower surrounded with native plants for added privacy.

We designed the layout of the room and windows/terrace doors to take full advantage of the blissful breezes coming off the Bay but have also included ceiling fans and A/C to ensure your personal comfort.

While Solana was being built, we traveled all over Mexico looking for furniture, art and linens from artisans. We have custom-made bedspreads from a family-run factory in Michoacan, hand-embroidered pillows and colorful hammocks, Oaxacan wall art and many other uniquely Mexican touches.

We serve a complimentary full breakfast every morning. There is an honor bar as well as a light lunch and dinner menu.

All guests are welcome to use our communal spaces which include an infinity pool, sundeck with lounge chairs and the palapa-covered bar area. The entire property at Solana has wifi internet access but you might just forget to check in after a day or two of hammock-naps, sunset happy hours and massages on the beach.

We live on the property and will be joining you for breakfast. We are here to make sure your vacation is refreshing, relaxing and customized to your personal preferences. Please ask us or our staff for assistance with anything that will make your stay happier and more memorable. Even before your arrival, we will be in contact to help you with airport transport as well as organizing your stay with massages, local tours, cooking classes, boat & fishing tours and anything else you might want to do. Of course, we are also happy just to point you to your hammock and let you spend your entire stay there with cocktail in hand, a book to read and the gorgeous Zihuatanejo Bay on your horizon.

We are located on a hill above Playa las Gatas where you can see everything - Zihuatanejo Bay, 4 different beaches, downtown Zihuatanejo and the surrounding hills - but still feel like you have truly escaped from "it all". Taxis are inexpensive here - about $3 USD from Solana to anywhere in Zihuatanejo - so you are just a few minutes away from a wide range of restaurants, beaches and watersports, shopping and nightlife.

At Solana we have a shared open air palapa area that is used for breakfast, an honor bar, cocktail hour, reading and games. It overlooks our infinity pool with a stunning bay view. The palapa area is cool and airy with ceiling fans when the weather turns warm. Other areas that guests may use are the infinity pool, sundeck, library and garden spaces.

We assist with breakfast every morning and so are available for guests questions. In addition we live on site and so if a guest needs our assistance during the day they can simply ring the office bell to be attended to.

We chose this spot to build our B&B because it is in a tranquil and beautiful area of Zihuatanejo overlooking the bay and town. We are continually interested in the variety of birds that nest in our trees and bathe in our water fountain. Being surrounded by so many types of flora and fauna native to tropical Mexico has enriched our lives.

We are located a 5 minute ($3 USD) taxi ride from La Ropa Beach. It is a 20 minute walk to the beach downhill. Many of our guests walk down to La Ropa and taxi back. Buses are plentiful at La Ropa Beach to take you into Zihuatanejo, Ixtapa and beyond.

Règlement intérieur
L'entrée dans les lieux se fait après 14:00

Smoking is not allowed in our guest rooms but is permitted on terraces and other outdoor spaces. Please be respectful of our non-smoking guests.

Because we have a resident cat and dog on the premises, we unfortunately are unable to accommodate other pets.

Children over the age of 12 are welcome. If the entire B&B is rented by one party, younger children may come if the parents assume responsibility for their safety and behavior.

Séjour de 2 nuits minimum

My husband and I are avid world travelers and as we journeyed, we fell in love with Zihuatanejo. In fact, we loved it so much, we got married here! We had a dream of leaving the city and our breakneck speed jobs and opening a bed and breakfast. It only seemed natural to move to the place that inspired a sense of renewal and retreat in us so that we could share it with our guests.

We have a wonderful group of friends that we've developed over the last few years of building Solana (we just opened January 1, 2014!). We spend a lot of time just relaxing and laughing with them - sharing dinner at one of our favorite restaurants on the beach, meeting for coffee in town and watching the fishermen bring in their catch, taking a drive out to the archeological ruins outside of town or going kayaking on the bay. We love to garden and have been learning all we can about local fauna as well as experimenting with growing our favorite vegetables, fruits and herbs on the property. We will be excited to share our knowledge and our garden's bounty with you at the breakfast table each morning!
