If you are attracted by the name of Shangrila and looking for a luxury place, you can forget about it. The furnitures are low end products and in poor quality. A dining chair is broken while I sit on it and I almost hurt myself. Mattress are not comfortable. When we checked in, we have to find someone to clean the whole unit. It was not well cleaned. The internet is poor. I have to use my cellphone data to monitor the global market. I feel regret of having rent this unit for 2 months.

Review for Ian Ian and Christine stayed in my condo for two months and checked-out at 2 p.m. on June 17, 2017. Originally they were supposed to check out yesterday but they requested more time to move all their stuffs. So I gave them one more FREE extra night. After their check-out, I noticed one dining chair(out of all six chairs) was completely broken, not repairable at all. They did not tell me the broken chair. They put broken pieces together as if it looks unbroken. If my next guests sit on that chair, they might get injured, which is very dangerous. Since they already checked out, I sent them text message and request CAD$100.oo for replacement cost. However, they refused to pay it, saying that it is natural wear and tear. That chair was ok when they moved in two months ago and had no problem while they are staying. I didn't hear any complaint about the chair while they have been staying. And they did not report it and checked out without saying anything. After i sent them a text message, now they admit they broke the chair few days ago, but they refused to pay, saying that it is natural wear and tear. I have been Superhost for many consecutive years. And most of our guests are high-class. But they are different. They are very sensitive for petty cash. They also keep asking discount over and over again from the first time they try to book condo. They did not realize that money is not everything in life. They didn't know there are more important things than small money. I do not want any other hosts to suffer from them. Hanna Host

The unit is located in the condo portion (upper floors) of the Shangri-la. The location is second to none. It is one block from Robson St in the West End (Downtown Vancouver) and walking distance to everything including a supermarket which is right downstairs. I met Hanna at the unit and it was exactly as described. Hanna also prepared a beautiful fruit basket for us on arrival. The unit was very clean and everything from kitchen condiments to kids toys were available. It was a hotel experience without the daily cleaning (which is available from the hotel for a fee upon request). The unit also has a gorgeous view of the bay and mountains.

Hanna and Michael were amazing hosts. My family had a great chat with them in the apartment. The apartment was well equipped with toys for kids, coffee and hot chocolate, jam and butter, water and orange juice in the fridge, even a welcoming fruit basket on the dining table. My family was really surprised and happy while we explored the apartment. It feels like home. We will definitely come back again if we have a chance. (: Thank you Hanna and Michael!

Hanna & Michael were great hosts, and were very supportive despite us arriving late on the day of arrival. The flat is just as advertised and is located in a great part of downtown Vancouver. You wont be disappointed staying here.

This home is in a wonderful part of town, within walking distance to an upscale market, many restaurants and shopping. As it is part of the Shangri-la hotel, there is a doorman, a concierge, secure parking, pool, fitness center and room service, which are all really nice amenities. Michael and Hanna were very flexible, accommodating and welcoming to my family. They really thought of everything! I loved the labeled cupboards and drawers, as well as leaving the manuals in plain view for appliances such as the washer/dryer and Keurig...Very helpful.

Hanna and Michael were lovely hosts! They provided us with a welcome fruit basket, several bottles of water and made check-in very easy. Their ShangriLa condo was a wonderful place to stay during our visit to see the 2015 FIFA WWC Final between USA vs. Japan. The condo was very well located with transportation close by to explore the beautiful city of Vancouver and was exactly as Hanna and Michael described in their listing. The whole family enjoyed all the amenities that the ShangriLa offered and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
