We have a delightful retro, vintage caravan. Completely self-contained, with a full kitchen (gas stove, microwave and fridge) Self-catering breakfast is provided. In fact you could do all your own cooking as pots, pans cutlery, crockery and some condiments already there. BBQ is provided. There is an eco toilet / bathroom. A deck built for the sunset and ocean view. Car-parking next to the caravan. Free Wifi, no password needed.
Retro caravan, finally parked up after years of faithful service. It is now ready to serve our guests. Two single beds made up with fresh linen, extra pillows and blankets provided. Beds are narrower and shorter than normal. The space can be rather small for two adults - especially if it rains! But the outside deck is covered. And you will be out and about enjoying our area - there is so much to do, see and enjoy (especially the beaches).
Accès des voyageurs
Two adult bikes with helmets. A bike ride down to the beach takes about 20minutes. Flourishing vegetable garden and orchard for you to help yourself.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We enjoy meeting new people. Everyone we meet is interesting.
We have lots of local knowledge to pass on. E.g. if you visit Cape Reinga, make it an all-day trip (no sleeping in on that morning), book the bus from Awainui (Harrison's), it is only $50 each.
We have an eco toilet (just like an ordinary one, but it does not flush). The outdoor shower has hot water (from a gas calafont) . You are welcome to use our facilities if you prefer.
Guests are in their own private space and can do their own thing. Pets are allowed. Smoking outside (for your own health).
I am a primary school teacher. My husband is retired but still finds lots of work to do.
We enjoy surfing, gardening and reading. When we can, we travel (short trips at the moment). We enjoy meeting other travellers.
