1830s Barn conversion with beams, stone walls and wood-burning stove. 1 kingsized and 2 single beds in one bedroom an 2 single beds in another Bedroom but room for a couple of mattresses if required. Fully fitted open plan kitchen with cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave. Bathroom with shower. Lounge with TV, Freeview and internet access.
Set in a secluded, rural area 6 miles from the city of Bangor and 2 miles from the small town of Bethesda where there are pubs, supermarkets, takeaways, and of course the famous Zipwire at Penrhyn Quarry

Guests and their children have access to a small field with swings and a play area. The yard area is also suitable for BBQs and sitting in the evenings.
Arrangements can be made to use a washing machine if needed.

We live across the yard in another converted barn. We are there if you need any help or directions but we will not intrude.We have 3 very friendly chocolate labradors who love a fuss but that is up to you.
Our home is called Cysgod y Coed and the Barn is part of the (URL HIDDEN) is basic budget accommodation with comfortable beds and fully equipped kitchen for self-catering.
Treat all our property with respect as you would your own. We provide bedding but ask you to bring towels.
We provide the first bag of coal and kindling for the
stove, but you will be expected to pay for any further coal which is currently £7 per bag. .kindling will also be provided As we do not charge extra for electricity, we ask that you switch off lights and heaters when you do not need them.
Please be aware of the Country Code as we are in the middle of farmland. We welcome well behaved pets and If you bring a dog please keep your dog under control and on a lead when you walk off the property.There are sheep in the nearby fields.
Please do not leave your dog in the Barn when you are not there.
Please do not smoke in the Barn.
we ask that any breakages are reported so that we can replace the item for the next guests.

Friendly outgoing senior citizen. Live with Pete,my husband of 42 years. Have lived at Cysgod y Coed for 35 years and love it. We both enjoy the outdoors, Pete was a member of mountain rescue for 35 years and currently trains search dogs. we have 4 very friendly chocolate labradors and 2 cats. we have 4 small grandchildren who visit frequently and our property is child friendly with swings, a field and chickens.we welcome children of all ages and well behaved pets.(someone recently brought their guinea pig!) we enjoy camping holidays in Europe and have also been to California and British Columbia.Both Pat & Pete are members of the City of Bangor Lions Club and Pat is a Girl Guide Leader in Bangor.Pete is very knowledgable about this beautiful area and is happy to share his knowledge with you about places to see and local walks etc.
