Our 5 day stay was ideal! The location, on a lovely tree-lined street, was nonpariel--so we didn't need to rent a car for our events in Boston and at Harvard. We arrived late at night, but felt safe and comfortable rolling our suitcases the 4-5 short blocks from Porter Square T stop, on beautiful streets, to this charming clapboard New England home. Our 3rd floor room under the gabled roof was large and comfortable, with a view into tree-tops. Sharing the attractive bath was never a problem. Breakfasts were delightful: outstanding gourmet food in a lovely setting, and great conversations with hosts and guests. If you want to experience Cambridge, with the atmosphere and tradition of this unique community, this is the place.

Amazing home, Blue was the most fantastic host and we had a wonderful time. Very lucky to find this gem of a place and wouldn't hesitate to stay when visiting Boston again.

I absolutely loved this place! It deserves extra stars. I always tend to give good reviews because I appreciate a nice stay for an affordable price. However, this seems now unfair in comparison to Blue's place, which is the BEST place to stay. Period. The room is spacious, beautifully decorated and has all what you need. Bed is firm and really comfortable. Room/house are also very quiet and you get a great sleep every night. The best part is breakfast, which is every day different and full of great home made treats. Blue and her husband John are the sweetest, always very interesting to talk to and they have great advice to give. I run out of nice words to describe this place. Stay here, you won't regret it!! I'm definitively coming back.

Stepping into this Cambridge home takes you to a good place, attractive and inviting. Up the 3 flights of stairs, part of the charm. Totally private room, a very comfortable space to relax, read, sleep and hibernate. Too much to see though in the neighborhood strolling about or short walk to Harvard Square not to miss. Hopping on the nearby busses or trains to get about Cambridge and Boston, very convenient. Dining in neighborhood restaurants superb experiences. Starting the day, best of all. Blue makes all feel special, seated in her dining room rich in history. A fresh breakfast, lovely company, and a marvelous room. One does not want to leave.

We enjoyed our stay very much! It's a lovely place. Very quiet and close to Harvard. The room is tidy and cozy, and Blue gave us all the helpful instructions we need while she's away.

When i'm not welcoming guests at our house, I walk to work at the nearby Harvard Museum of Natural History. My husband John and I are both Harvsrd grads, appointed years ago to cochair an alumni reunions committee. We enjoy meeting people from all over the world, and sharing our interests in natural history, sailing, books, photography. and sharing our love of Harvard, Cambridge and Boston with visitors. I've travelled widely in my previous remote corners of the world ranging from Timbuktu, to Yemen, to the kingdom of Tonga and Australia's Kakadu National Park.
