The cabin is a converted 20" sea container with a spectacular view of Mount Taranaki. You need to bring your own (inflatable) mattress and sleeping bag. Purpose built for trampers. You can rent a mattress @ $5 from us if you inform us in AdVaNcE.

The shower and toilets are nearby and shared with other people using the camp ground.
So please do not expect hotel accommodation for $ 19 per head. Toilets and showers are clean, but...other people use them as well and that can affect cleanliness.

HI Lena, Thank you for the review. What we basically offer is a warm and dry cozy and above all cheap place to stay close to Mt Taranaki and the National Park. Showers are always clean when we open the shower, but since all trampers and campers share the same amenities, it is as clean as people who use the shower and toilets leave it. And sometimes that is shocking. Since we also run a restaurant on site it is not possible to keep an eye on this the whole time. Cheers Joep

The place is very simple and clean. Actually was very nice to sleep on the hard surface. Excellent for your back. Had pancakes for the breakfast at the restaurant. Was very good:)
