Accès des voyageurs
In Venice, as in all the other towns, there are taxis and buses.
The only difference is that they move on the water, not on the ground.
The water taxi is a private boat You can use to move from one place to another, at every hour of day and night. It is faster and naturally more expensive than water bus. Normally it is necessary to reserve it but at the Venice airport Marco Polo, at the train station and at the car parking You can find it at the moorings.
The cost is 110 euros until 4 people, from the airport to the apartment. More if You are a larger group or if it is at night or early in the morning. If You arrive after 10.00 pm at the airport You should try to reserve a water taxi to avoid the risk of not finding one available.
From the Venice airport Marco Polo You can reach the taxis and Alilaguna moorings with a ten minutes’ walk.
PAY ATTENTION: Alilaguna boats are not water taxis but water buses.
From the airport, train station Santa Lucia, car parking You can get a water taxi which is much faster and takes You right in front of the building at the water bus stop Spirito Santo (twenty meters).
You can also get a water bus, Blu line Alilaguna, (yellow large boats) which is much slower (95 minutes) and takes You to the water bus stop Alilaguna at Zattere which is a 5-minute walk from the apartment.
The ticket cost 15 euros per person.
You can also use to move in town the ACTV water bus.
The water bus ACTV is anyhow quite expensive. The ticket costs 7.50 euros per person and lasts for 75 minutes. I would suggest, if You are planning to use the public transports in all or some days of your stay, to buy water buses passes, to save money and avoid queues.
Cost per person:
-24 hours 20 euros;
-36 hours 30 euros;
-48 hours 40 euros;
-72 hours 50 euros;
-7 days 60 Euros
Guests can access to all the different areas of the apartment.
I do not speak Chinese but here You can find some welcome words that a very kind Chinese guest translated for me:
Échanges avec les voyageurs
Since the first mails I receive I give to the renters all the information about the apartment, Venice, public transports, restaurants, etc. I organize to meet the guests when they arrive in Venice at the close water bus stop and I walk them to the apartment. I explain everything in the apartment and I give suggestions and advices on different matters.I personally make the check out and I keep in contact with the guests to, eventually, organize another apartment reservation with an extra 10 % discount.
Definitely an excellent solution for a memorable stay in Venice.
This is the part of Venice that I love even more because although this area is only 10 minutes from Piazza San Marco, which is always full of tourists, Zattere are more calm and always giving different emotions, depending on the day time. This part is always full of light, sun, water, colors .. and joggers. You can see the sun rise early in the morning and the evening sunset. Often, in front of the apartment, behind the Church of the Redeemer, you can observe, and be fascinated, from the rising moon. You can have the best time in Venice on every season of the year. Have a coffer, a delicious ice cream, an appetitive or a full meal (from pizza to the top quality fish restaurants in town). Just relax walking alongside the Giudecca Canal. You'll never forget these emotions. You'll never forget Zattere.
I prepared with great care and love this apartment because one of the next year I will return to live there. Benefit as long as it will still be rented.

I was born in Venice, Italy, and I have almost always lived here. I graduated in Economics with a thesis on wine production in Napa e Sonoma Valleys, California.I have always loved wine. We produced Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Grigio in our family farm in Friuli until some years ago.
I am a chartered public accountant and a tax advisor. I have founded a wine club in Venice in 2001.
I am also a certified sommelier. I organize with my friends wine tastings and visits in the most famous wine areas close to Venice (Collio,Verona, Alto Adige etc.).
