The router is located in the main bedroom on the floor to the right of the chest of drawers.
Kitchen- Plates for you to use are located in one of the large pull out drawers to the right of the stove. The drawer under the plate drawer is a bit off it’s track, so it doesn’t pull out easily. It is probably best to leave that drawer closed. Cups are in the upper cabinet to the right of stove. Cooking pots are in the lower drawer under the windows. Feel free to use anything.
Fridge- Feel free to use anything in the fridge. The milk is fresh. Please make sure the fridge doors are fully engaged when closing as they sometimes don't close when you swing them shut.
Coffee- feel free to use the french press or espresso machine to make coffee. Our grinder is set currently to make a french press (larger grind). If you want to use espresso machine and grind beans, change red lever on grinder to the picture of a spoon (far left).
Cleaning Supplies if needed- under the kitchen sink is a spray to use on the counters or table. Blue rags for wiping up spills are in the drawer next to the pantry cabinet.
Dishwasher- dishwasher detergent is under the sink, please use the liquid detergent and make sure it is for the dishwasher.
Trash- in pullout slider door to the right of sink in kitchen island. please separate trash (front containter) from recycling (back container).
Laundry- washer/ dryer is in the small bathroom. laundry detergent is located in the green cabinet in this room. The detergent goes into the pull out little drawer on left side of the front of the washing machine.

At the end of the week, please bring trash bags out to the gray garbage can which is located to the right of our garage (in small fenced in area). The recycling goes into the blue garbage can in this same area.
Please strip sheets from the beds you use and place in laundry basket next to the washing machine.
Bike path: The bike path runs for 10 miles out towards Bedford, Mass, but it also runs towards Somerville and is a fun place for a scenic walk or to get to Davis Square which has many restaurants and cafes. To get to the bike path, walk down Jackson St towards Harvey St. (take a right out from the front of the house. ) Turn left on Harvey St. and walk a block and you will reach the bike path. If you walk to the right on the path you will be walking towards Davis Square (towards downtown). It is a 10-15 minute easy walk to get to Davis. You will cross a few streets including Mass Ave but just follow signs for the bike path. There is a red line T stop at Davis, but the closest stop to us is Alewife (5 minute walk).
Scenic area/ less urban area of bike path:
From Harvey St. at the bike path, if you walk left on the path, you will head towards Russell Field and the Alewife T stop. If you follow the path behind Alewife, you reach the section of the bike path that goes out for 10 miles through various towns. The section right behind Alewife is interesting, with wetlands surrounded by new buildings- an unusual landscape worth checking out, with a lot of wildlife!
Quickest route to the Alewife T stop (5 min walk) - head left on Jackson and go right on Dudley street, walk straight- you will walk through Russell field and the T stop is right in front of you after crossing the field.
Greek Corner- greek gyros and kebab plates, tasty food, located on Mass Ave- go left on Jackson, then make a left on Dudley Street, follow it down past the park and Greek Corner is on Mass ave
Qing Dao Garden- located on same stretch of Mass Ave, good Chinese takeout, esp the handmade dumplings, not tons of ambience but good food
Jose’s Mexican Restaurant- 10 min walk from our house towards Porter but located on Sherman Street, good Mexican food, margaritas, some outdoor seating
DAVIS SQUARE- favorite spots are:
Posto- modern Italian, some outdoor seating
Spoke Wine Bar- small place with small plates, great food, can’t make reservations so sometimes gets busy
Dave’s Fresh Pasta- good spot to get lunch during the day, great panini, also they make many prepared foods such as handmade pasta, sauces
PORTER SQUARE (a 15-20 min walk down Mass Ave, or 2 subway stops away)
Christopher’s Pub- good burgers and pub fare, also many vegetarian options
There is a small bodega on the corner of Dudley St. and Reed St. which has wine, beer, ice cream.
There is also a Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s on Fresh Pond Parkway which is a 15 minute walk from our house.
