Pretty little Bermudian style cottage with brick detail and wooden beams, a bit of modern and old world decor mixed in together in a lovely way..cozy, neat and very clean! Great backyard space--wish we put that grill to use! Includes all of the necessary appliances ( coffee maker, dish washer, iron and board, tea kettle ) and crockery with utensils. The cottage is smack in the heart of St. Georges, though it lies in a beautifully quaint alley, the supermarket, the Unfinished Church, shops on York Street and the beaches are all short walking distance away. Perfect spot for our wedding week! Thank you so much, Julian! We will be back :)

The pictures are out dated, location not easy to get to. beach is down the hill a ways. Yard is over grown with weeds, crab grass not as inviting as the deck pictures, You need to bring your own beach chairs, coolers, etc. Buyer beware!

Beautiful cottage, nice quiet area, the main road into the town of St. George's super short walk away. Very convenient to all the restaurants, supermarket, anything you need. I look forward to visiting the island again and hope to stay there again as well.

Location, Location, Location: Julian's house was a great spot for maneuvering around St. Georges. It looked exactly as it does in the pictures, and was tastefully decorated. I agree with previous reviews that the bedroom is larger than the picture makes it seem, which made for pleasant space. This sweet village town provides you an opportunity to connect with the locals, local history, and relaxing life that Bermuda has to offer. (Our brief trip to Hamilton revealed a large city, full of shopping and tourists - less our scene for vacation). This location is about a 5-10 minute walk to the grocery market, taxi location stop, bus stops, St Georges information booth (a great place to find out about transportation options), and restaurants. With an 8yr old, and without moving swiftly, the walk to Tobacco Bay (our fav. beach spot) was a good 20 minute scenic walk (and in the heat - which was a constant 90-95 index the week we were there, less desirable... the last few days we took a taxi up the hill and walked back, when the night was cooler). Taxis are easily accessible at the town hall/info booth area. Bring enough $1's and $5's for this purpose(!). Other folks have mentioned St Catherine's Beach, which looked beautiful, but another 10-15 minute stroll further from Tobacco Bay, and without amenities. (We glanced at it, after taking a taxi up to the Fort next door on a Saturday, which was unfortunately closed due to a wedding the day before; and decided to walk back to Tobacco Bay, our preferred spot with music, food/drinks, chairs you can rent...). We heard rave reviews of Clearwater Beach, but didn't make it there. Pros: Drying rack for our swimming apparel was super appreciated; the AC worked quite well, and great to have the fan to blow cool air into the bedroom; the WiFi worked great! The area felt safe for walking around. We didn't make use of the oven, or coffee maker, but the toaster worked well and kitchen amenities were comfortable. Generally, we really appreciated Julian's prompt communication - both preceding and during our stay. Things to be aware of: There were a few minor issues that detracted from our overall experience, such as the washer not being functional (a recent previous review had said as much, and when i inquired ahead, so as to pack accordingly, i didn't hear back about that detail - which led me to think all was OK. Well we went to use it mid-way during our trip, and it filled with some water and then stopped. If you're traveling with a child, or might want to have function of the washer that is listed in the amenities, be sure to check if it is fixed). Additionally, the Fridge made a beeping noise on our First afternoon there, which I promptly emailed Julian about, but did not hear back from him for two days - luckily it had stopped within about 20 minutes, which I...

The cottage is in a great location and is very comfortable. It's a two minute walk to the main street in St. George's and about ten minutes to Tobacco Bay and St. Catherine's beach (Gates Bay). It was very hot when we were there (late July) but the air conditioning worked flawlessly. The space is perfect for a couple and (possibly) a child. The kitchen appliances functioned well and there were plenty of pots, pans, dishes etc. We would certainly consider booking this cottage again.

The house is in a great spot in St George. It is decorated very cute and was comfortable. There were some small issues we encountered such as the washer and dryer were not working which when traveling with a toddler is not the best news and also that we would not have a local cell phone as stated in other reviews that we would. The AC in the living room cools down the main area but we did wish the bedroom was a little cooler since we were there in July and it was so hot out. With that being said there are a lot of pros to this home. The main town is a few streets away and the beaches are a short scenic walk. The beaches in St George are beautiful and you will enjoy them and the beauty of the town itself. We also enjoyed the short bus ride to the beaches over at Cooper's Island on St. David's. The trip to Horseshoe Bay Area is close to an hr or so busride but it is also very scenic and enjoyable if not on a crowded bus. We didn't stay at Horseshoe, but walked to take a glance at it from some of the less crowded and in my opinion much nicer beaches in the area. The island is gorgeous! Local restaurants we visited were Wahoos, Tempest bistro, Swizzle Inn, the snack bar at Clearwater which is known for some awesome fish sandwich (get it if u go there), the Lobster Pot in Hamilton, the snack bar at Tobacco ( nothing special but fried food), and a local place in St George that was called Mama Angie's which I highly recommend for lunch (also get the fish sandwich). There were some flaws, but overall we had s great stay and would recommend staying in this home once the washer and dryer get fixed.

Great location, 10mins walk from Tobacco Bay beach (sandy beach with sunbed/umbrella rentals, bar/restaurant and showers) and 1mins walk to St. George town center. Perfect size for our family (2 adults + 1 kid), with all we needed for a relaxing vacation. Julian was very responsive during the reservation/pre departure phase and post check-in too when we had some initial problems with the WIFI (which got fixed rapidly). One only note - which I think can be fixed pretty easily by the host - was around cleanliness: the place is in need of a good, thorough clean in-between guests. Nothing particularly dirty jumping out per se, but in general we could notice the cleaning was a bit superficial and rushed (for example: bathroom mats not changed, place-mats not changed, kitchen floor needed wiping, etc..)
