This 1940's Tahoe cabin has vintage charm, is situated on a three lot parcel, and boasts one of the most sought-after locations on the lake. Short of lake front, which this cabin is not, this is the next best thing. The cabin is located on the lake side of Highway 89 and includes access to our private homeowners' beach, only one block down the street. It is also walking distance to a small, upscale market, and two popular eating establishments: Sunnyside Lodge and Firesign Cafe.
Location, location, location! You can walk to Sunnyside Lodge (lakefront bar and dining), Firesign Cafe (great breakfasts & lunches) and our Tahoe Park Homeowners' Beach. This private beach is only a block down the street. The homeowners' beach has 3 acres of lake front and lots of amenities, like 2 docks, BBQs, picnic tables, and bathrooms.

You have exclusive access to the entire cabin and the three large lots on which it is built. You have a gate entry card to get you into the private homeowners' beach, just a short walk down the street. There is snow removal service in the winter. We have an annual contract with Tahoe Park Snow Job.

We live and work in Novato (SF Bay Area), so we will not be present. The housekeeper, Bill Pershing, lives in the neighborhood and he would be the one to help out with any problem.
Do not leave any kind of food or anything that smells like food in your car, because there is a black bear that roams the neighborhood. The rent includes the 10% Placer County Transient Occupancy Tax. Cleaning is included in the rent. The house will be clean for your arrival, and cleaned after you check out. There is no housekeeping provided during your stay.
Please do not smoke in the house. There is a huge front porch at the front of the house that is fine for smoking. Well behaved pets that are housebroken and do not chew the furniture are welcome. However, the yard is not fenced, and the homeowners' beach will not let dogs in during the summer months. Please take special care to return the Lake Tahoe Homeowner's Association beach "key" to its hook on the laundry room wall. If you lose this key, there is a $100 replacement charge. This key will allow you to enter the beach during the summer months. The beach gate is not locked off season. There is a $110.00 replacement charge if the fireplace remote is damaged by leaving it too close to the fire. Just leave it on the coffee table and this will not happen.

Cindy lives and works in Novato, California. Cindy has owned the north shore Kauai house since 1989, and has run it as a vacation rental since 1991. The Tahoe City cabin has been owned by Cindy's family since 1962, and she manages it for the family members which include her mother and her two brothers.
