Our flat is located in a unique building of very high roofs and very high windows having extraordinarily beautiful courtyard. Location of this apartment is really outstanding. In the hearty of the old town and you have every thing at door steps. In the city centre but situated in a calm and beautiful building witha private flowry green courtyard_ photographed by all (URL HIDDEN) of the best 2 double bedroom apartments is ideally suited for a family with children or group of 4+² persons. With its 74 m² area, fully furnished, it is very clean, roomy and full of charm and with all day sun-light. Restaurants, bars, museums, railway station within 10 minutes walking distance. Bakery, shops at door step. All fresh eatables and drinks, bread, cheese, meat, vegetables and fruit can be purchased in the wonderful covered market across the street or at Casino City Shop-200 m away on the Grand'rue. This is a small grocery store within walking distance (5 min.) and Colmar has several super-markets within 5-15 minutes (by car). The apartment is very roomy and is equipped with all necessary equipment (microwave, dishwasher, washind machine, iron, extra pillows and blankets, dishes for 20 guests and cooking utensils). There is Wi-Fi in the apartment. The apartment has a large living room with a nice LCD TV (plenty of French and German stations). Your arrival and departure is very well organized and prompt.

CLIMATE:Un fait Remarquable / climat :Colmar, bien que située dans une zone de climat semi-continental (comme le reste de l’Alsace, la Lorraine et la Franche-Comté) est la ville la plus sèche de France.En effet, la moyenne des précipitations y est de 53 cm (530 mm) par an.
Histoire:Colmar (du latin columbarium : « colombier »), ancienne ville libre du Saint Empire romain germanique, comptait parmi les dix villes de la Décapole d’Alsace. Elle est devenue française en 1648 dans le cadre des traités de Westphalie. Elle est le siège du Conseil souverain d’Alsace. En 1789, elle compte environ 11000 habitants.Après l’annexion par l’Empire allemand suite au traité de Francfort (10 mai 1871) elle devient chef-lieu du district de la Haute-Alsace dans le Reichsland d’Alsace-Lorraine jusqu’à la signature du traité de Versailles (28 juin 1919) mettant fin à la Première Guerre mondiale.Colmar est alors française jusqu’en 1940 et l’annexion de l’Alsace au Troisième Reich lors de la Seconde Guerre mondiale.Le 2 février 1945, Colmar est la dernière ville alsacienne libérée de l’occupation nazie, après une longue résistance de la poche de Colmar. We do not live in the same building but not far from there. In any case any help needed we come down to you in 5-10 minutes after your phone call. We do this with pleasure and for your pleasure and personal satisfaction. On arrival and on departure of our guests we are always there, even during the night, if late arrival.

NO SMOKING IN THE FLAT. NO PETS IN THE FLAT. THIS IS A SMALL QUALITY RESIDENCE OWNED PRIVATELY and has only 11 flats_ "La Commanderie" and please avoid shouting and noise. It is in the heart of city Centre, with restaurants and shops and museums on door step and even then in calm and secured area. Respect silence hours (10 PM to 6 AM). You are on holidays but other residents of the building may have to go work in the morning!
Arrival before 9.00 PM and departure before 10 AM, if it had not been agreed otherwise. We appreciate guests who like clean and tidy living and respectful to our home as good as to their own home. Final cleaning, bedlinen and towels are included in the extra charges 90 €. Local tourist taxes 1 €/night/hrad are not included in our web-quoted price, because it depends on many variables. Private parking is extra and can be booked after your booking confirmation. But it must be confirmed before arrival because parking facility is limited and in the city centre, it is expensive, police fines are freqyent and hard to find one place when we need it.
We can also pick you up from the Colmar Railway station free of cost. Pick up / drop from/to the airports ( Basel-Mulhouse or Strasbourg) can be organised with our private car with a small payment.
We appreciate also guests, who tell us on departure inventary if something had gone broken or damaged.

En hyper centre, parfait pour visiter la magnifique ville de Colmar. Malik est un hôte disponible et accueillant.

Logement pratique en plein centre du quartier touristique. Vivant et central. Equipement fonctionnel et complet. Malik nous a très bien reçus et conseillés et a pu nous mettre à disposition un parking à proximité Vive Colmar

Apartamento em estilo antigo, muito bem localizado, próximo do centro turístico de Colmar, e a alguns poucos metros da área chamada Pequena Veneza, com vários restaurantes e padaria próxima. Quartos amplos, sala espaçosa, cozinha relativamente pequena, uma sala de banho sem toilet e um cômodo apenas com o toilet. Wi-fi funcionando perfeitamente. O hall anterior à entrada do apartamento cheira um pouco a mofo. O anfitrião nos cobrou um adicional por conta da taxa de turismo (1 euro por dia e por pessoa), sendo esta a primeira vez em que este tipo de cobrança nos foi feita por fora do valor acordado para a hospedagem, apesar de já termos feito alguns aluguéis de apartamentos em diferentes cidades da Europa, e mesmo sem constar nenhuma informação deste tipo de cobrança no anúncio do apartamento. O anfitrião respondeu aos nossos questionamentos de maneira tempestiva e fez de tudo para nos deixar bem a vontade. Apesar de nos ter retribuído um souvenir, o fez de maneira um tanto inesperada, pois deixou-o dentro do apartamento durante o período de nossa hospedagem e enquanto estávamos ausentes.

Sandro, We are surprised that you were not informed about the city tax. But you were informed by the following message on June 22, 2014 ( at the time of reservation): Local taxes/ City taxes ( as in Hotels) which you will have to pay to Local CityAdministration through us (in cash on arrival) is not included because it is variable and can not be fixed in advance on airbnb web-page @ 1 €/night/person (above 13 years of age). Hope that our clarifications are to your satisfactions. in fact every thing is detailed on our airbnb web-page. Please come back to us, if any other question or doubt or any additional service needed. With kind regards, malik" See airbnb communication thread. Your comments are not correct that you dis not know. In France this type of tax is decided by each individual local government and we are obliged to ask the guest to pay. It is also very clearly noted on the Airbnb announcement. We will place in the flat for future guests an official letter copy from the local Government of Colmar. Every hotel in Colmar charges that! 2) What you write about WC room that there is no room with WC; This is not again correct. We have one bathroom with washbasin/lavabo, bathtub, shower etc and additionally we have a separate WC room. Most people like this and our flat is rare in Colmar having the two rooms (WC and bathroom) separeted. This is an additional comfort but we do not understand, what you want to say that there is no bathroom / no WC in the room. This is not true. There is one WC room and one bathroom in our flat. Any future guest can verify and if not true we will refund the rental fee. 3) : This is usual that we offer to our guests with plesaure sometmes a gift or some special local pastery for breakfast to make them a surprise and pleasure. It is a part of our regular effort to be a better host as the others. Sometimes guests are absent from the flat but we ring the bell before leaving the things inside but just at the enterance. We never go deeper than 50 cm in the flat. We keep our steps outside but open the door and close it. Sometimes we can not wait at the door till the guests return because it is spontaneusly and we do not live at the same building. Instead of leaving a word of thank on departure if the hosts are earning such negative comments, soon we will move away from airbnb guest because airbnb policy is to treat our guests wit the best possible hospintality. 4) You broke our dinner set plate and left the flat at 5 AM without waiting us and without leaving a message or without excusing yourself. Also left all garbage/bags every where inside and outside the flat was very disappointing. This is the first time that a guest behaved this way and did not respect the rules of our rental home. Keep in mind this type of private renting is different from hoteltrenting and needs mutual respect. Inspite of all this, we did not send any claim to airbnb and did not block your deposit fees. We could do that and make claim for this damage! Normally, guests should not leave the flat without a check-out inventory in the absence of the host. You were expected to remain in the flat before returning the key. I came upto you specially for this purpose at 5 AM and to, do a proper inventory. Otherwise, everyone can claim of anything. You should be happy that we are not only honest people but also very accomodating. 5) Kitchen is probably small as compared to other rooms in the flat but it is sufficient for 4 persons. We will bring a smaller table in and it will give more free space. Next guests will see the change. 6) You mentioned some smell in the great entery hall. We did not feel anything but it could be due to wall painting work being done currently in the main enterance hall / 2nd and 3rd floor of this building. Please note this residential building is one of the best rated building of Colmar in terms of cleanliness and beauty of 15th century heritage! Sorry that you could not aooreciate this during your short 5 day stay.

We feel pleasure and love to render services to any one and even more to unknowns. This vacation renting activity is a result of our love to travelling through different continents / countries and cultures. We like and enjoy preparing our apartments for our guests and we are always looking for ways to make pleasure to our guests. We offer and remain available to our holiday guests during their stay @ 24 hours a day. We derive our motivation from their suggestions and their satisfaction.
We appreciate and rate our guests when they leave the apartment as clean and ordered as they had received on arrival. We discuss also with our neighbours, if they are happy with our guests.
