This place is AMAZING! The home is a beautiful, rustic and elegant 1700s home. The interior was classic and set to the time period of construction, with the necessary updates to make the stay a memorable one. Fridge, coffee machine, Television, etc. The park where the home is located is gorgeous and it gave us a chance to walk our dogs - yes dog friends, this place is pet-friendly! We loved the covered bridge that is in the backyard - yes, the backyard! That being all said, the customer service was top notch. Jim and Chris unfortunately were not there during our stay, however, one of their employees, Mary was exceptional. She met us after hours to drop off the key and to show us around the place and was very friendly. At the end of our stay when we realized that we forgot the favorite sweater of one of our three Chihuahuas, Mary was on it! She contacted the cleaners and was able to locate the sweater. Chris was kind enough to send it back, too. We will definitely be back! I would STRONGLY suggest anyone interested in staying in Lancaster County to check this place out!

My cousins have lived within 30 minutes of this historic site and had no idea this place was available for an overnight stay.

My experience at the Covered Bridge Cottage exceeded my expectations. The cottage itself is nicer -- and larger -- than the photos depict. The living area is open, large, and bright; the kitchen has beautiful cabinets and is equipped with everything you need. The upstairs bedroom is large and comfortable, with more than enough closet space for two or more people. The bathroom is small but pretty; the water pressure in the shower was great. Loved the original wide-plank floorboards throughout and other original architectural elements...but also appreciated the central air and wifi! But the best part of this property is, of course, the park. You pretty much have all 23 acres of it to yourself between 7:00PM and 9:00AM, so my dog and I did a LOT of exploring during the off hours. And even when it's open to the public it's quiet. I can't begin to describe how beautiful the setting is, so I won't. You really just need to see it for yourself. Jim and Chris are terrific hosts, so sweet and welcoming. I'll definitely be back!

We stayed at Jim and Chris's place for a weekend - the place is very comfortable and clean, it has a great antique vibe with all modern amenities. It served us perfectly for trips deeper into the Amish Country. Jim and Chris were very helpful and gave us the prefect ideas to explore - we would definitely come back!

The cottage is beyond charming. The location is amazing. Off-site from the main BnB, the cottage is nestled in a historic park that backs to a creek. It is well appointed with all the necessities and luxuries from home. It was immaculate and well stocked. We were so pleased with our choice and hope to come back.
