The house is located in quiet pedestrian street in the heart of the Alameda de Hercules, quintessential bohemian. All rooms in the house have wooden floors. The distribution loft allows the light coming through the skylight and two windows to the street, is evenly distributed creating a sense of spaciousness.
The flat is in the neighborhood of the Alameda de Hercules, which is full of life (it's my favourite neighborhood in Seville) and you can find a market (to buy fruits and vegetables a day, fish and meat), Chinese shops (open from 9 am to 23 pm) cafes, bar (where you can eat "tapas"), banks, etc.
It is 15 minutes walk from the main monuments (Cathedral, Torre del Oro). The river is about 5 minutes walk.
Let me know if you come by bus, airplane, etc and at what time you will arrive to Seville, then i can tell you whats the best way to arrive to the flat.
This neighborhood is called the Alameda for being around the Alameda de Hercules, square which is full of life with its bars, tapas, coffee shops, concerts. In the 90's the neighborhood had a change at all levels and were rehabilited all old house and began to be occupied by artists and bohemians of Seville, from being a slum to be a neighborhood where live many social classes and where everybody knows everybody.Proximity to old town makes this neighborhood one of the most attractive for those who want to explore the city and know the essence and the manners people Sevilla. In this neighborhood will find many bars where people gather to have a beer and socialize
Areas to emphasize in the neighborhood
-Feria Street : is the main street of this area, because is full of people, many shops, bars, Chinese shops, fast food, there's a food market where you can buy fruits, meats and fish of the (website hidden) the back part there is a bar where you can have breakfast or have a beer with fried fish .You have to ask for the "bar of the market"
-Antiquies market( only On Thursday) is a market that places on the Feria street where selling antiques, books and many curious objects
Restaurants and tapas bars:
-La Madraza (Peris Mencheta street): Mediterranean food restaurant where you can also eat tapas and wine at a good price. There is an air conditioning and it is lighty and cool local
-Calatrava Street: This street has many bars from the beginning (starting at Barqueta Bridge) to the end (Alameda de Hercules) Many bars have free seating in the open air .I recommend you always choose the bars where there are more people
-Casa Paco (Alameda de Hercules) many "tapas" nice price and outdoor seating in the middle of Alameda de Hercules
-Contenedor (SanLuis street): very cool restaurant with artistic decoration and good food and good wine. The price is a bit higher than another
-La azotea ( Jesus del Gran Poder street): excellent restaurant with a very good kitchen and wine. The only thing is that the place is very difficult to find a free table because its small
-La cacharreria (Regina street): bar very small but very nice with a special breakfast with toast, juices and fruit and located on Calle Regina, attractive pedestrian shopping street
-Cafe Hercules (Peris Mencheta street)
-Café Piola (Alameda de Hércules)
-Alameda de Hercules :many bars to have a breakfast in the open air
I always recommend that you buy the Giraldillo wich sell in any newstand. Its a monthly magazine where you can know the most important events of the month (concerts, flamenco, exhibitions, museums etc.)
Too is highly recommend the free magazine "Yuzin"
Flamenco: La carboneria (Calle Levies, 18) Flamenco free daily
