The Apple in Bridgetown is a relaxing get away - a gorgeous heritage farm house to call your own for a night, weekend or week. 3 hours drive south of Perth, The Apple sleeps up to 12 people. 2 bathrooms, internet, modern amenities plus old fashioned fun including wood stoves and open fireplaces.

The Apple is a 1920s family home on 8 acres of land on the Blackwood River, Bridgetown WA. 3km from the townsite.

It was once the farm house of a large apple orchard. It has a huge lounge room which in the 1940's hosted monthly dances.

Bridgetown is a gorgeous treasure in the south west. It's a small town located in a picturesque valley. The town centre is lively, with quality cafes, restaurants, wineries and boutiques. It has a long running annual Blue Festival in November, plus has many other art and culture events throughout the year.

It's easy to get caught up cooking, relaxing and never leaving the property, but it's close to heaps if you want to explore more.

The Lounge : The large lounge room features two fire places. There is a TV, DVD player, lounges and desks.

The Kitchen/Dinning: The large open kitchen has a dishwasher, fan forced oven, gas cook top and wood stove.

Bedroom 1: Queen bed, 2 Single Beds (Bunk), door to shared bathroom. Please note this room is only accessible from the verandah.

Bedroom 2: Queen Bed, 2 Single (Trundle), private verandah.

Bedroom 3: Double room with Queen Bed, open fireplace, 2 Singles (Trundle), ensuite, access to front verandah.

Verandah 1: Off the Lounge Room and Bedroom 2, this verandah overlooks the croquet lawn. Great pace for badminton, croquet, cricket, bocce and more.

Verandah 2: Off the Louge Room, Bedroom 1 and near the kitchen, this sheltered side of the house features outdoor dinning tables and barbeque.

The Property: The house and large private surrounding gardens are on an 8 acre property. Feel free to explore the rest which includes an orchard, and head down the hill to find the Blackwood River. Note that there is a caretakers cottage on the property also, which may be occupied during your stay.

The whole house and surrounding gardens are for guests private enjoyment. There is a small caretakers cottage that can't be seen from the house which may be occupied during your stay. You're welcome to explore the entire 8 acre property. The shed area is not accessible to guests.

Generally we are not at the property during your stay. You can reach us by phone at any time.

We are 3km from Bridgetown, a 5 minute drive, or about a 30-40 minute walk. There are regional buses that stop in Bridgetown. There is a taxi in the town.

Bedding - there are sheets, quilts and pillows on all beds. Towels are also provided.

No Smoking - please do not smoke inside the house or under verandas. If you smoke outside please ensure cigarette buts are disposed of in rubbish bins.

Pets - Pets are allowed at the Property, however please note the property is not securely fenced. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets both within and outside the property. Pets are not allowed on furniture at any time. Any evidence of pets on furniture may incur extra cleaning fees.

When You Leave - Upon departure, guests are expected to leave the house in the same manner as when they arrived, excluding cleaning the bed linen, towels, floors and bathrooms. Guests must:
- clean dishes and return to cupboards
- empty all inside bins to outdoor council bins provided
- remove and food put in fridge or pantry
- remove any evidence of pet hair
- remove any pet wast outdoors
- clean stove top, oven and barbecue
- wipe kitchen benches and table tops
- return any moved furniture to where it was found

Outdoor Fires - please be aware that at between 15th December to 14th March strict fire bans are in place to avoid bush fires. During this period you can not have any open fires (campfires, wood fired barbecue etc). The gas barbecue can be used during this period.
