Toni was polite and very sweet and always willing to do her best from what she was saying ..if the problem was as important as mentioned , she could have simply take a video of the issue and leave the apt right away( never ever told me she had so many bugs per day and stayed 9 days our of 10 ?? ) .
2 - I have very strict rules in regards of sanitary . If apt was not as clean as she wanted to , I also always offer to send another cleaning service .
A professional cleaning service came at the apt prior Toni arrival , the work was fully supervised by the prior guest ( prior guest clearly mentioned in airbnb chat that the lady did an amazing job )
3 - Pro cleaning service have the responsibility to report any bugs issue and wont do the work if an apt is infected as it put them at risks ( can show my cleaning order and payment )
Nonetheless when Toni mentioned the issue , I trusted her and didnt not even require evidence . The building management has a pest infection coming every 2 weeks , if any tenant complain they have to adjust the issue if not the city will fine them - For legal matter , as tenant we have to sign a paper when apt is being inspected and sprayed -
Truth is , I came home right after Toni departure and found zero bugs . I am not allowed to leave bugs at my house ( if i had any ) and how could i even live like that ???
Certainly not allowed to take such issue lightly as other tenants could be infected .. my building management , building exterminator or AIRBNB received no calls or emails from me to adjust the issue as i had no reason to do so ( this is not something i can lie about , this is recorded on legal paper )
4 - Please know , if any issue , I am always willing to go above and beyond to help .. Guests prior Toni were from airbnb and both had zero bugs complain as seen on review . They might have left some food in the fridge ..i found some in the cabinets but was beans in can and noodles ( both new and not opened )
Aside from that , Toni left the bed in her room well done . She rent one room only but had the entire apt for herself . in fact i didnt book anyone else as I though maybe there were bugs ....or know
When i arrived The apt was far far from being cleaned in perfection ( her room , bathroom , hallway ) ..yet I never complained to her or airbnb as I can handle things myself when i m in the city,.
I sincerely thought the was honest and kind ..But ... sadly she was not as authentic as i though
Guest after Toni who stayed with me and arrived 2/3 days after i did never saw or complained about seeing a single bug .
Last mn , Toni wanted a refund for her last as she wanted to move to her new place sooner - As host we dont have an option on airbnb page to send money back . Additionally , once booked and stayed for x amount of time there is not such a thing as refund for last day or so - sadly she had to use the bugs story to get her way ..she stopped communicating with me the moment she realized she could not get a refund and open a case without any communication towards me to adjust the possible issue other way . I honestly could have open a case for leaving my house dirty , for the few things i found broken but again I (Website hidden by Airbnb) time and the time and energy of people working so hard at airbnb is not worth for little cleaning issue or things under $100 that are broken ..maybe other guest broke things ( not here to accuse Toni as I cant tell who did what ) ..nonetheless Airbnb was very kind to refund her anyway yet I m very sad that people go as far for such little amount of money .
