The house is spacious, has large rooms, and has upgraded features. You will find clean, crisp sheets and cozy bedding. There is plenty of room for lounging in our large living room with plasma TV, oversize kitchen, airy dining room and central piano. There is a huge homey front porch and back deck off the dining area.

The location is fantastic for driving, walking, bicycling, and public bus (3 blocks away) to downtown and elsewhere.
Close to parks, paths, shopping, recreational facilities, Stampede, downtown and the trendy areas of 17 Ave SW aka Red Mile, and 4 Street shopping, restaurants and music venues. The best of Calgary!

You'll have access to:

- Sitting room with TV and stereo
- Bathroom including bathtub, shower, toilet and counter, and shared laundry facilities
- Kitchen (self-serve coffee, tea, fresh fruit, and cereal available, and otherwise bring groceries and self-cater)

Please leave all spaces clean the way you find them.

We'll be in and out! Friendly!

Elbow Park is beautiful, old, calm, and safe, not to mention central and close to most things good in Calgary. We are next to a large park with a hill and two blocks from the Glencoe Club.

#3 Bus stop is 3 blocks away (5 minute walk and goes south and north to 4 St, 17 Ave, and then downtown) and Erlton C-train Station is about a 30 minute walk, right at the South Stampede entrance. There are bus schedules in the guestroom for your convenience. Lots of amenities are within 15 minutes walking distance, 5-10 min biking distance, and car parking is free right across the street where there are no houses. Like I said, this is a sweet, desirable location!

We welcome you very much to Calgary!

In case you require more than one bed, we have a single stowaway that can fit in the bedroom. Be sure to request the single bed in advance asap and include the total number of guests, which includes children, in your reservation request or inquiry.

If you need a second bedroom, we have another listing that includes two bedrooms, this one and one on the other side of this room. Refer to "Beautiful 2 Bdrms Elbow Park Charmer" The big bathroom next to the guest room on the second (upper) floor has shared facilities for guests and if you're the only guests, likely except at busy times of the year, the bathroom's all yours except washer and dryer, which we use . The hosts use that bathroom only for laundry. (We have our own bathrooms.)

Please be nice to our elderly cat.

We are next to a large park with a hill, playground, ball diamond, basketball hoops and tennis club in spring, summer, fall, and hockey rinks in winter.

We will supply shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bodywash, soap, and on request toothpaste, mouthwash, and more, so you don't have to pack these liquids. The hosts use that particular bathroom only for laundry. (We have our own bathrooms.) We run the Bionnaire Air Purifier before you come and the windows are openable to the sweet park air.

For two bedroom availability, see our other listing: BEAUTIFUL 2 BDRMS,3 BEDS ELBOW PARK
We also have a Private Bedroom with ensuite.

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION
Airport to here info:
1. Taking a taxi is easy and fast and costs about $50-60.2. You could also take the Calgary transit route 300 bus directly from the airport to downtown. Ask someone at the airport where to catch it. It doesn't take much longer than driving and has very few stops. We always get off at the Calgary Tower. The 300 bus costs $9.50 per person and you can catch a cab easily from Calgary Tower (9 ave & Centre St) to our place and the cab would be about $10. Depending on your energy and how much luggage you have, you could even walk to our place from there south up 1 Street SW (1 block west of the busstop) and it would take you about 30 minutes. Do you have gps?
3. Or, if we're available, (may not know until the day before) we can come get you from the airport for $50 as long as you keep us updated about whether the flight is landing on time.

We welcome you very much to Calgary! We pride ourselves on your comfortable stay.
In case you require more than one double bed, we have a second listing that is two bedrooms on two floors (accommodates a total of 5). Refer to "ELBOW PARK 3 BEDS CHARMER".
The big bathroom next to the guest room on the second (upper) floor has shared facility for guests but is usually all yours and you can leave your stuff spread out there. We use that bathroom only for laundry, however, and minimize the use while guests are with us. (We have our own bathrooms.)
