A cozy private room with a good queen size bed only 3 min. away from Akureyri center in a comfy simple cottage style home. Enjoy our little village in the midst of town. You should also know we have a long-haired Norwegian skog-cat in case of allergies.
Entrance is on the 2nd floor with out side stairs so unfortunately we would hardly suggest our room to people that might have difficult physical disabilities, sorry.
The booking includes 2 people but there is however a possibility of receiving 1-2 extra people staying in the living room and we happily review any special circumstances, so feel free to ask and we will make you a special offer.

We are a family of four, me and my husband and two teenagers. Then of course there is the cat who must qualify as the fifth family member. The family is very busy during this summer and some of us will be travelling a lot so it will vary who of us will be home or away from home when you arrive. How ever it will be we look forward to meeting you :)
Please leave your shoes by the entrance, we generally do not wear outdoor shoes indoors in Iceland.
I am currently attending University but also run my own business as a financial consultant and translator. I enjoy outdoor activities and camping and am quite conservative when it comes to consumption, I only eat organic food and mostly vegetarian, I walk or cycle most everywhere I go and rarely use a car. I bypass mass production companies and am a nature conservationist.
I also play curling and really enjoy multinational bonspiels where I can meet people from all over the world. All my life I have been involved in international work somehow and I see the whole world as my home because I feel at home where ever I go and I respect and care for every place as my own home. My children are no different from me and are very open minded and globally thinking, already active in international work when young teenagers. Also my husband is from south Europe so we certainly have a multilingual, multicultural home, but most of all this is really a happy home.
I joined airbnb to bring the world to me since I have been travelling less since I started school again and I think this is a great way to meet people from all over.
My motto is to make each day count and be the best I can be, do good if I get a chance to, and be thankful for the gifts life brings.
