Dear Mrs. Julie,
I am very sorry you found some unappealing things during your stay.
The drive to the house from the flat land is 1,5 Km of paved street. It has a total of 3 turns, two of which are hairpin turns.
The street is narrow for about 800 meters.
In Tuscany most of the streets in the countryside are narrow streets. We are lucky that this is not a wild street, but it is very short and fully paved.
You may find some prickles in the 10.000 square meters garden during august, as some kind of plants and grasses are dried from the hot sun.
You will find mosquitoes almost in all Italy and certainly in the main towns and in almost all italian countryside.
The day before your arrival we had one unusual huge storm that may have raised the number of mosquitoes in the area.
We provide anti mosquitos lanterns and repellents, that are stored in the cupboard on the ground floor, just before the living room.
We are very sorry if they where not available at the time you arrived.
On the day of your arrival our assistant added 30 cm of pure tap water to the pool, together with chlorine products, and this may have given a less transparent color to the pool water, that was fixed the morning after your arrival with the use of another kind of "fast" chlorine. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The area of Calenzano that you cross to reach the base of the hill where the villa is located, is an industrial area nearby the village of Calenzano.
You cannot see this area from the villa or from any point of the property, as the shape and dimension of the hill where it is located hides this view.
Instead, as mentioned in our advertising and shown in our pictures, you see the olive tree hill and the valley of Florence including the Duomo, far away.
Tuscany is famous for its vineyards, olive oil, and cypress trees. The hill where this villa is located is dedicated to the production of olive oil, so you find olive oil trees in the whole hill. The top of the hill is a cypress tree wood, protected by the italian laws as it hosts rare variety of this beautiful tree. This cypress tree wood is attached to our property by two of the four sides. It is rare to see such a wonderful cypress wood, where you can also have nice walks, as usually they are planted in a row to delimit the different fields. In our property you also find fig trees, 400 olive trees and other fruit trees. Not every hill in Tuscany can be dedicated to wine production, depending on the nature of the soil, exposition, availability of water, and other technical factors.
The location of this villa is very convenient if you wish to visit easily the most beautiful towns of Tuscany such as Florence, Pistoia, Lucca, Pisa, Pietrasanta, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, Siena, and even Bologna in Emilia Romagna.
We did not know you had troubles with the internet connection.
We solved the problem in five minutes, as the credit needed to be recharged online. A matter of a few clicks.
Although we cannot consider all of such unappealing things of our fault, we encourage our clients to communicate us anything that may disturb their stay in the villa, so that we can find a quick solution to let you enjoy your vacation.
