Description

Apartment unit in duplex occupied by owners in west-central Omaha. Single bedroom with queen-size bed, twin sofa sleeper, full kitchen and bath. Separate entrance, cable, WiFi, off-street parking. Excellent access to I-80. Recently remodeled.

This is a 500 square-foot, duplex unit with a separate address. It is integrated into what appears to be a single-family home. Constructed in 1991, the main house is the primary residence of the owners. The unit was previously rented, remodeled in 2012, and now used for guests and family. Perfect for the business traveler and other short-term guests.

The unit has a separate entrance in a covered walkway. Off-street parking for one vehicle.

The owners are available for immediate access for help and questions, but the apartment is remarkably private and quiet.

The house and duplex unit were built as an infill house on an open lot in 1991. The area of Omaha is known as "Westgate" and was developed in the late 50's and 60's as a working class neighborhood with strong family connections. The owners have lived in the Westgate area since 1975, and their two daughters attended school in the neighborhood.

Extremely easy access to I-80 via the 72nd Street ramps. Bus routes available within two blocks, including shuttle to the Berkshire-Hathaway shareholder's meeting.

The apartment provides a queen size bed as well as a twin size sofa sleeper. The apartment is smoke free for the comfort of our guest. During the summer and fall a patio offers a quiet retreat. We can accommodate an infant with a pack and play sleeping arrangement. We do not accept pets.

Dennis is a semi-retired IT consultant and part-time carpenter. Mary Kay is on nursing faculty at College of St. Mary. Their oldest daughter and family live in Kelowna, British Columbia. Their younger daughter is a medical student at Campbell University in North Carolina. Long time residents of Omaha both Dennis and Mary Kay enjoy showing off the city while providing a quiet comfortable environment.
