In Danehill, West Sussex, The Barn features B&B accommodation in a renovated barn with high ceilings and exposed wooden beams, away from the listed main building which dates back to 1545. It offers beautiful far-reaching views of the South Downs. We are on the edge of the Ashdown Forest.
The Barn stands in our grounds next to the paddock where our hens roam during the day, it is away form the main house where we live providing privacy for guests. There is a small fridge in the Barn filled with bottled water, jams, butter, yoghurts, milk and juice for breakfast. Dorset cereals are supplied and freshly baked croissants or scrambled eggs are offered as well.
A tray holds a variety of teas, coffee and hot chocolate along with biscuits. A bowl of fruit is always full and there are always fresh flowers picked from the garden. Breakfast is included in the price.

The part walled kitchen garden is across from the parking area and guests are encouraged to wander round, when fruit is in season it is provided in The Barn.

The Barn is on the edge of the village of Danehill in a rural setting, with uninterrupted views of the South Downs. Often guests hear the owls at night and on Wednesday nights the bell ringers practice at our church, 300 metres away.
I am a busy mother to 2 teenagers and I am passionate about growing fruit and vegetables so apart from running our B&B business I host garden workshops in our part walled kitchen garden, some of the produce will appear in the Barn. We moved from London 11 years ago and we have not looked back, we keep hens in the paddock, 2 fish and last but not least a very handsome ginger cat who likes to meet our guests too!
