This is a fantastic artist and designer's 1930's California spanish home on a quiet cul de sac. Perched on top of a hill above MacArthur park, near Echo Park, downtown and Silver Lake, this art filled two bedroom house is owned by an artist and designer and the perfect place for your visit and travels in the city. Huge back yard, multiple decks and views of the Hollywood sign, Griffith Observatory and the Santa Monica Mountains.
A tiled courtyard with fountain welcomes you to this comfortably appointed two bedroom house. The master bedroom is fitted with brand new king size Tempurpedic mattress.
The second bedroom is set up with a queen size Tempurpedic bed, desk, flat screen TV, DVD, Apple TV and sound bar audio system. There are the basic local stations available.
High speed WiFi throughout with an AirPort to wirelessly stream your music through the sound system in the living room or through the Apple TV in the second bedroom.
Centrally located, it's minutes to any place you want to be downtown and the east side. The Staples Center and LA Live is 5 minutes away, the restaurants and bars of Silver Lake or Los Feliz about the same and the clubs and music venues of Echo Park just around the bend.
Wireless printer/scanner plus new front loading washer/dryer in the office off kitchen.
I cook a lot and in the recently remodeled the kitchen, pretty much anything you need to whip up a light meal to a full dinner is handy (except a microwave. I know, I know, I just don't like them.) Filtered water through the fridge dispenser and a dedicated tap at the sink.
Major grocery (Vons at 3rd and Vermont) and drug stores (RiteAid and Walgreens) are a few blocks away and multiple farmer's markets happen weekly nearby.
The Metro Red Line subway is also just a few blocks away across from the park which can take you from Hollywood to Downtown, Pasadena to Culver City and beyond. Every freeway (101, I-5, 110, 10, etc) is nearby as well making this neighborhood one of the most convenient I've ever lived in.
Classic California tiled main bath with separate shower and bathtub plus a second small quarter bath (WC) off the kitchen.
Parking is on the street with one spot always reserved for you in front of the garage. Small to medium dogs are welcome and they will love the completely fenced and enclosed back yard.
Onsite manager lives in a completely separate garden guest house unit to assist with any questions.
