The guest room has its own, ADSL2+ broadband Internet access by Wi-Fi or ethernet cable (provided). A desktop computer with broadband Internet access is available in the living room.
We have plenty of secure storage space for luggage and recreation equipment, and offer ample, off-street parking.
Our large yard is fully fenced, and the alfresco living area has a barbecue, camp oven pit, chimenea, and outdoor eating area.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We offer a room within our private residence, communing with our family, so please understand that you will be staying within our home, not in a commercial B&B or hotel.
You will be free to mix with us, or enjoy the privacy of your own, very large, quiet room at the rear of our house.
We welcome and prefer international visitors and will do our very best to help you enjoy your stay in our beautiful part of the world. Although we only speak English (and a very tiny bit of conversational German and Japanese), we are experienced in communicating with people from all nations.
We are well-travelled and willing to help you plan your visit and sightseeing. We keep a wide range of maps, tourist brochures and books that you are welcome to use. We also have access to many travel and tourism discounts through our car club.
We keep spare toiletries and can provide sunscreen, first aid items, insect repellent and other things that you may require. We are happy to provide beach towels and a beach bag, along with a picnic set, picnic rug and esky (cold carrier) should you require it. We really want you to enjoy your stay!
Before and after you book, we're happy to chat by e-mail, telephone or online to help you plan your journey and holiday.
Upon booking, we offer printed, written directions and a map. With prior arrangement, we *might* be able to collect you from Brisbane Airport, Brisbane Transit Centre (Roma Street), Beenleigh Railway Station, or Logan Hyperdome Bus Station. Alternatively, if you will be driving your own car or a hire car, then we may be able to pilot you (i.e. escort your car with our car).
You can enjoy our large outdoor living / entertaining area. By special arrangement, we may even be able to host a large gathering.
Our low-set house, with wide hallways, may be able to accommodate guests with special mobility needs.
If you enjoy cooking and eating, and would like to learn the Aussie way of cooking, then on a Saturday or Sunday evening (by prior arrangement) bring a couple of bottles of wine with you, and we’ll provide all the food (at no extra cost to you) and teach you how to barbecue or cook in a camp oven over a fire, and we'll share the meal and a few laughs together.
*** Please read before you enquire or book ***
We generally don't accept bookings from people without a completed profile and photo. Please upload a photo and some information about yourself (as we do), and tell us a bit about the purpose of your trip.
Please note that we are not within walking distance of public transport, so you MUST have your own transport. We *might* be able to arrange collection and return from the local bus or train station for overnight guests, but this must be pre-arranged before booking.
To help everyone enjoy their stay, we prefer to limit guests to:
• 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children: 2 to 3 nights
• 2 people: 7 to 10 nights
• 1 person: extended stays
Before you book, please tell us the times of day that you would like to arrive and depart. We both work full-time away from our home, so unless other times are pre-arranged, our first arrival / check-in times are:

• 6.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. Monday to Friday
• 6.30 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
During your stay, our entry/exit times are:
• Monday to Friday: in between 6 p.m. and 9.00 p.m.; out before 8 a.m.
• Saturday & Sunday*: in between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.; out by 10 a.m.
* We're able to allow you to stay all day on Saturdays and Sundays if we don't have any of our own commitments.
We generally do not provide first-time guests with house keys or alarm system access codes and therefore need guests to exit by the time we leave for work and enter after we return from work (see entry/exit times above).
We allow limited use of our cooking facilities for evening meals, but ask that you wait until we are finished preparing our evening meal (generally by 7pm). If you don't wish to cook, then there are many local dine-in and take-away restaurants within 7 minutes' drive (all shown in our Guidebook), and you are welcome to bring food back. We do not allow food or drink in the bedroom.
We do not allow smoking anywhere on the property, and do not tolerate swearing, drunkenness or illicit drug use.
Because we often work from home, we ask that any computer you use to access our broadband must have up-to-date antivirus software installed.

We are Cameron & Leanne, a young-at-heart, married couple. We both work full-time, and love life, home, and friends. We enjoy cinema, volunteering, gardening, cooking, camping, studying and travelling, and Cameron is passionate about property investing (development and renovation). We've lived for many years in the UK, have travelled around the world.
Our guest room is within our private home, and we like to make our guests feel as though they're old family friends, even if they only stay one night, and we like our guests to relate to us in the same way. We love to host international visitors, and to be generous with all that we have and our time so that our guests get the most out of their visit to our part of the world.
