Thank you Sean for taking the time to leave a review.
As far as the power goes we haven’t had this issue before. Even so, we are removing the fridge and replacing it with a Yeti cooler. We found that with the quick turn overs (people booking days back to back) that the solar batteries may not have a chance to recharge fully, especially if guests run their own appliances onboard. Therefore, we are making the change to ensure our guests can enjoy the tv and the fans for the night, no matter how cloudy it is or how busy the unit is.
We are also taking your swim ladder concern to heart and will be changing it to a more sturdy option for those who would find the more flexible one difficult, thanks for letting us know!
As for the bugs! We have not had a guest have such a bad experience with them, I am sorry for your discomfort. We will ask Catherine to look at the netting to ensure there are no gaping areas. They may be outside but they shouldn’t make it into the unit so we will look into this as we haven’t heard of them getting in like this before.
The upper side of Lake Surprise is a croc reserve but we, nor any of our guests have ever seen one (despite some really searching). We also haven’t heard of the aggressive sharks, we have seen a couple Nurse Sharks around the unit, which are great to watch :) This lake is also frequented by local water sport lovers, tubing, kayakers, paddle boarders etc.
We do appreciate your review as we can make positive changes for our upcoming guests, and agree that some boating experience is best as our skiffs do come with brand new motors that we hope our guests can run safely and properly.
And yes...Catherine, our local host, is amazing :)
