Description
Description

This 73 square metre flat is furnished using French fabrics such as Toile de Jouy in the bedrooms and silks, etc., in the other areas. The owners made trips to local brocantes and to find some lovely antique furniture and objects to give it a sort of shabby-chic style. The flat is on the 1st, no lift. There are double beds in each bedroom as well as ensuite bathrooms plus a third toilet in the hallway.

The owners made a lot of trips to local brocantes to find some lovely antique furniture and objects. The decoration has been kept within the period style. This Paris rental apartment has a spacious salon has a dining table which can comfortably seat six people.

From the moment you enter this Paris holiday let, you'll be struck with the meticulous detail gone into decorating the flat fitting with the times of the mid-late 1800's. The doorway you walk through takes you to a foyer where a beautiful marble table sits with a mirror hung over it. The WC, kitchen, salon and dining/sitting room are all off of this hallway.

Kitchen

Upon entering the kitchen, you will see a doorway leading to the dining area - very convenient when preparing dinner with your groceries purchased at one of the neighbourhood markets.

There are three toilets in this Paris vacation apartment with the main one being off of the entryway.

Sitting Room

When you enter the sitting area, you can sink into the comfortable sofa or sit at the long table that doubles as a desk to write postcards of your stay in your Paris holiday let. Beside the window in this room is another antique marble table with chairs - a perfect spot to sit and read. Access to both bedrooms are through separate doors in the salon.

Double Bedroom with Ensuite Bathroom

The master bedroom has a beautiful antique bed frame with head and foot boards all accented in blue. In the corner of the room, a mirrored vanity table allows space for you to put your everyday affairs or some wonderful French perfume you may have purchased. There is a lovely, antique armoire in this room to store your clothes. The ensuite in this bedroom has a toilet, sink and a bathtub with shower.

Double Bedroom with Ensuite Bathroom

The second bedroom has a chest of drawers to store your clothes as well as a small closet not shown in the photos. The closet shown in the photo of this room houses a combination washer/dryer. The ensuite for this bedroom has a toilet, sink and shower.

This square is directly in front of the apartment building. It comprises two terraces and is encircled by Louis-Philippe style fence. The central grass garden is home to two hundred-year-old 30 m tall oriental plane trees as well a group of statues made in Lorieux marble.

Guests have access to the entire apartment.

We are available by phone & email should our guests require any assistance.

This part of Paris is known as 'Les Grands Boulevards'. The Grands Boulevards are long chains of avenues that join the Madeleine to the Opera to the gates of St. Denis and St. Martin, the last to the place de la Republique, and the Republique to the Bastille. They were laid out in the 17th century on the site of obsolete city walls and served as a centre of café and theatre life in the 18th and 19th centuries, reaching the height of fashion during the belle epoque.

One of the oldest music halls in Paris, Les Folies Bergere which has been around for 130 years, is just around the corner.

Even today, if you ask a Parisian, they will say that it is their 'Broadway' and they still love to stroll through the area to feel the pulse of the city.

This apartment is very central to many sites and shops. It's a 15 minute walk to Au Printemps and Galeries Lafayette, a 12 minute walk to Gare du Nord, Gare de l'Est, and Sacre Coeur, a 10 minute walk to Musee Grevin and Musee de la Vie Romantique, a 30 minute walk to Jardin des Tuileries, Place de la Concorde and the Champs Elysees.

You need not go to the Tuileries to see some greenery though as the street overlooks a quiet little park called Square Montholon.

If you prefer not to walk, there are 2 metro stations, Cadet and Poissoniere, a couple of minutes from the flat. The are also buses you can catch on rue Lafayette or a taxi rank, if you are in a hurry.

Check In/Out

You may check in/out any day of the week. Times are as follows:
Check in time: 16:00
Check out time: 10:00
In order to guarantee an early arrival (prior to 16:00), it is necessary to reserve and pay for the preceding night. If, however, we do not have someone arriving or departing the same day as you, we are very flexible with the check in times.
For check in/out before 8:30 or after 20:30, special arrangements will need to be made and there will be an additional charge of 50 Euros. This additional fee should be paid in Euros only directly to your greeter when you arrive at the apartment.

Living amongst other full-time Parisian residents also requires a different level of respect and consideration as you may have different schedules than the rest of the people living in the building. We ask that you always conduct yourselves in a respectful and discrete manner when entering/exiting the building and in the common spaces as many of us are more accustomed to larger spaces, or single family homes in our native countries with minimal contact with our neighbours. In Paris, as you will see, we all live right on top of one another.

Neither smoking nor pets are allowed.
