Our large sunny studio attached to a 1940's barn in the Santa Cruz mountains above Hwy 1. Opt for a quiet weekend on the property or venture out for easy access to wine tasting, biking, hiking, surfing or playing on the rugged north county beaches.
Each day as we drive up the mountain to our home we feel the rest of the world slipping away. If you are looking to get away to a quiet, rural location where you can easily access trails for riding or hiking, north coast beaches, wine tasting and dining - this is your spot. We live on a 1.5 acre property that is open and sunny, at the edge of the redwood forest. The studio you will be staying in has it's own access, it is over 450 square feet and is attached to the barn, which is over a 150 feet from the main house.

• Dining table and chairs for two
• Small refrigerator

We do not have a kitchen in the studio but feel free to bring prepared foods that can be warmed up. We do have dishes & cutlery and basic kitchen utensils. The studio and a private open space next to the barn. The studio is large enough to accommodate surfboards, bikes, etc. if you require additional storage let us know and we can find space. Échanges avec les voyageurs
We love meeting new people and we also respect our guests privacy. We are on the property so we would be happy to greet you, chat, answer questions or help as needed, just let us know!
We are a multi-generational family of 5 living on the property. We have two young kids who always love to meet new people but we also respect the privacy of our guests. During your stay we will be around - gardening, playing, etc., feel free to come out and say hello.
The barn contains a small woodshop that is sometimes used for periods of time during the day. We will do our best to not be involved in any projects while you're here, but on occasion you may hear the sound of a wood saw or hammering.
You will be staying in an area where wildfires are a concern - so absolutely NO CANDLES, NO FIRES AND NO SMOKING. We do have electric candles to provide ambience if desired.
We provide wifi for our guests as there is no cell phone coverage here. But, the wifi is not reliable. Our location is not suitable for people needing a reliable and consistent connection to the internet.
At this time we can not accommodate pets as we have cats that do not take kindly to pet competition.
Additionally, at this time we are unable to accommodate more than 2 people, regardless of age.
Our property is private and we would like to keep it that way. If you are staying with us we expect that you do not share our address or directions to our property with anyone. No visitors are allowed without our knowledge and permission.
We live in a tranquil, natural setting and ask our guests to be mindful and respectful of this. If you feel that you must set your car alarm please do it silently - people don't set their car alarms in our neighborhood and it's a fairly foreign sound in the country silence.
Another note about staying in the country - the closest restaurant/cafe/convenience store is a 15 minute drive from the house.
