Hi Wallace. Thanks for your review. Though I was very busy, I just could not leave you stranded & your fine manners, humility made it all worthwhile. You got lost not only because you're not fluent in English, but because you didnt have a chip/network that worked in the UK, so you were off the radar & we couldnt contact each other for your check in. Thankfully though God is good & it all worked out well in the end. Best wishes.

After flying into Gatwick, I needed a place for a couple of nights in London and this was great because it only took a train and a bus ride to get there. It was cheap, clean and was both nights in the room on my own, which was perfect for sleeping. Some people criticized her many…

This accommodation was not what we expected upon arrival. If you are looking for a place close to London as well as a quiet and relaxing place to come home to after a long day of exploring, this is not the place. The price was fair for the stay, but the host was quite "talkative"…

Hi Jess. Thanks for writing a review. Of course my place is not for everyone & everyone is not suitable for my place either. Ive had many explorers come here to stay & without complaint. A couple of people had a job booking nearby for a while, whilst being away from their loved ones, 1 had job interviews & they gave me excellent reviews. WIth regards to what you consider to be my "talkativeness" this is because I'm trying to make my host feel welcomed in my place; some appreciate it, you clearly did not & with the same attitude some other guest could complaim that I was "inhospitable" - we can't win them all. Then if you didn't want to talk bacj with me, why didnt you say so as I would have understood. Conversing with me is not 1 of my house rules & since I feel that I must ensure that my rules are kept as much as possible; imagine if that was the only exchanges that I had with my guests "you've not done tgis how I wanted & you've done that incorrectly" & so I'm endeavouring to have some form of balance in my relationship with my guests. To me your review also sounds "stereotypical" as if to say to the world, "look that's her in a nutshell". For your information Im always learning, evolving & trying to improve the service that I offer to my guests. For example whilst you were here I improved the wifi signal throughout the house & did ask you if it was "better" now, sorry if thst exercise disturbed your peace in any way. With regards to what you describe as "clutter". Do you expect me to for example post photos of all my kitchen utensils, I have quite a few of those, out of your way so that for example, more than 1 person could be cooking in my kitchen & not feel that they are short of this & that, eg a colander. Or was I supposed to take & post photos of all my extra bedding & towelling for example which have never been in any other guests way so far? I've heard that where you come from that just about "everything" is "big" , aren't you just very fortunate & possibly not so adaptable? Not every 1 lives in a mansion. Just before you arrived or while you were here, another guest remarked to me just how "peaceful" they found my place. Whenever you've ever gone to a job interview do you talk about ALL that could be considered as your "weaknesses" - I stated that I store some personal belongings in that room ie spare towelling & bedding in separate storage containers. Re your personal space, after I improved the wifi I knocked on yr door to ask if it was better - I did not barge in; on another occasion I knocked to inform U of something that Id forgotten to inform you of, that's my duty cos if something was damaged I wanted to ensure you that I'd informed you in advance. The last day that U went out I'd seen from the back garden that yr window was opened too wide, I brought it to yr attention cos as I told you, had it rained the water could enter through the window, cause damage & I'd have to close it - of course like anywhere else I've a spare key to each room, rhat I'd only use if considered necessary. Did that thiught trouble you? You said that U would close it yourself b4 going out, you did & for me that was the end of that matter. I also checked if you were feeling warm as different people's warmth needs can vary/differ. I didn't count how many times I asked what you were doing for the day, that & anything else that I said was to me a way of making conversation with you, I even admired some items that you bought & was wearing, learnt about some of your past "adventures" which I found to have been v.interesting - sorry if U felt that it was all too much for you; no harm was intended. Of late residents have been given new rules about managing waste in the interests of all; I feel that I've adapted quite well & had to pass these onto you. My house rules are in the best intetests of all: host & guests alike; I consider them to be "fair" like not wearing "outdoor " shoes into my house - do you know how much dust, grime & bacteria can be brought into some 1s living space, through outdoor shoes? 1 morning U came from the bedroom with shoes on; I didn't ask U to remove them; however I couldn't risk that situation continuing & told U that Id left a wet cloth at the entrance door for you to clean the soles on your way back in case U wanted to bring them in2 the house that night only as they seemed like "special" shoes to you; if I allowed it for you, then I'd have had to allow it for every guest. On the 1st night you took an extra toilet roll in2 your bedroom; I asked you not to bother to replace it, even though toilet rool if for the bathroom use only: you didn't obey ALL my house rules as I saw your "4getfullness" as "petty" issues that I should correct there & then as host & there's no need to broadcast them to the entire world & seek to put you in a bad light unnecessarily. Yes as in my listing there's a certain way that I want my possessions "looked after" hence my rules& can assure you that in my house your personal belongings weren't at risk of being damaged, even if you have insurance - I hold all my belongings as dear & unique to ne. I think that you've had changes/adjustments to make, u forgot some tbings in my house , I realised that, brought them to your personal attention only, seems you can only cope with big spaces only - apologies that I don't live in the "Wild West" , our personalities probably clashed & can assure you that even as of yesterday /today, even b4 I read your review, whilst hosting/looking after guests, living my life/taking care of family, I am continually improving & seeking to improve the service that I offer. KInd regards.
