PRO - It's a very nice place in a beautiful area surrounded by nature and close to the beach. Perfect to go for walks and see the sunset/sunrise. Also close to town. Ines is a very nice and friendly host who can help you out very easily. CON - The amenities could be better. The toilet was dirty and the kitchen is very lowkey (needs some more cooking tools for example). Handy would be a sort of 'welcome list' with things like the wifi password, check-out time or perhaps other house rules etc.
We had a short but great stay at palafitos. It is a great place to crash after a day at the beach it's nothing fancy but it does the job. It is located walking distance from the beach and driving distance to the town. The place is tidy and clean with a comfortable bed. The unit we stayed in had a balcony with a great view of the sunset. It has air conditioning, cable and WiFi. It doesn't have a full kitchen but it does have a mini fridge, hot plate, a pan, glasses, plates, a microwave and sink - enough to prepare simple meals or snacks. The units are located very close together so if your neighbour is making a lot of noise you can hear it. During our stay the only thing that occurred was one of the steps leading down from our unit broke while my husband was descending and he almost fell down the stairs. We told Ines but as we left the next day it was not fixed during our stay however I'm sure the issue has been corrected by now. Ines was very helpful in orienting us in the town and provided us with some great restaurant suggestions. She also made the reservation for us a la huella which was very nice. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple place to crash during a beach vacation.
I thought this place was very sweet and quaint. It's definitely very casual and a bit of a ways away from restaurants and town- not accessible by foot. The decor is beautiful though and it was tidy. Ines was wonderful and communicative. She was quick to answer any questions. For this expensive town this housing is a serious STEAL. Great value.
A quiet little place just outside the main town in a quaint side street. Ines was a great and welcoming host, even booking restaurant reservations for us in Spanish. The kitchen was a bit small to cook in, but we didn't spend much time inside as Jose Ignacio is a great village to explore.
