The house is amazing! We hada fantastic time, wish we could have enjoyed it more. We were there for business, next time we go to San Jose, we will definitely stay there again.

Great communication and easy access to get in. Did not meet Khanh but his property manager was always readily available by phone. House is very big, spacious and clean. We had an issue with a shower which was promptly attended to by the host. Note that the master bedroom has 2 king beds in it, something we didn't notice is in the listing.

The transaction w the host was super smooth and easy. This is a very nice spacious home and extremely clean. I had great time with family staying in this home during visit to San Jose. However, several appliances did not work while I was there. The dish washer was broken and the washing machine in the garage had water left in it. We ended up didn't get to use both. The dining table had a very nice plates, utensils, and candles setup when we arrived (a super fancy luxurious setup). But we were told that it must be left that way when we leave or we would be charged. So the dining table was pretty much useless. It may be better not to have anything set up. If they change/fix a few things, this place could be perfect for a rental home.

The neighbourhood was very nice suburban area - close to a shopping centre with Safeway and lots of other shops and restaurant. The house is big and with a nice garden. Big garage with washer and dryer. Huge television in the living room. We were met by a colleague of Khanh who gave us 2 keys and showed us around the house and was the main point of contact. We had a problem with ants in the kitchen which we alerted Khanh and his colleague to immediately and they sent in someone to deal with it the next day.

I was born and raised in Viet Nam. I came to the US when I was 16. In 1997, I joined the US Marines. I served my first year in Japan and spent the rest of the time at Camp Pendleton. During these 4 years in the service, I traveled quite a bit. I always chose to stay at vacation rentals instead of hotels because I loved to experience the local culture.

Being a vacation rental owner, I have had the opportunity to return the favor. I enjoy meeting people coming from all over the world and get to learn many things without leaving my door step. I never knew about an event called "Senior Olympics" until the guests contacted me to rent my homes in San Jose. I was blown away that men and women in their 70s, 80s and 90s would compete in competitive sports. I got to meet film crews, musicians, entrepreneurs and just simply nice folks.

To me, managing vacation rentals is a combination of passion and a rewarding life style. I enjoy the day to day challenges just as much as the fun of sharing foods with new guests. I keep on telling myself that I need to record many of the conversations that I have with my guests and put together "a day in the life of a vacation owner". I think I need to do it soon. So hang on tight, a short film will be coming soon.
