I have a spare futon in my living room that can comfortably sleep 1 person. The location has many restaurants, pubs and cafés. Public transit passes right in front the building. Street parking is available (free for 3 hours at a time). Sunny Brook Hospital is 10-15 mins walking distance. Whole Foods is 5 mins away.
My place perfect for backpackers or persons looking for shorts stays at a time.
Feb 2nd 2017 - brand new futon installed. It is 5.5ft x 3.5ft.
**(If you are a very tall person, this may not be the best place for you)**
It's a bigger than normal apartment in Toronto. I also have a huge balcony that you can enjoy. There is a fully stocked kitchen with all the utensils that you will need.
The futon is very comfortable and located in my living room. You will share the bathroom and kitchen with myself and my female room mate (who stays in the den area next to the kitchen). The living room and den is partitioned by a curtain.
I also have Netflix, PS3, chrome cast and a superb 49" TV for your use with surround sound. (Install the chrome cast app and you can stream Youtube videos directly to the TV).
I have an iron/heater and ironing board but it is stored away, so just ask me if you need to use it and I'll take it out for you.
NB - This is a 60+ year old building. So it has that "old character" look on the inside. If you are looking for a more modern feel, this is not the best place for you.
Accès des voyageurs
Free fast wifi, building's dryer and washer (located on ground floor), large balcony for your use.
Feel free to use the kitchen if you need to cook. I left space in the last tray in the fridge if you need it.
I MAY be able to loan you my TTC monthly subway pass if the timing is right with our schedules. This pass allows you free 24hr travel on the local subway, bus and streetcars anywhere in Toronto.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
I am a friendly person and I like meeting new people from all over the world. However, I understand that some people like their privacy.
Once I check you in you have freedom to leave and enter as you please. You will be given a key. I usually stay in my bedroom but sometimes I am not even there.
I will respect your privacy completely. If you need advice on nearby places for food/drinks I can suggest a few. Just ask me!
Some people like alone time and some people like to talk, I am fine with either one.
In the winter, the building usually turns the heat up so if it is too hot for you, simply open all the windows and it will be cooler within minutes. You can adjust the temperature to your liking by opening and closing the windows. Think of the windows like a thermostat :)
In the summer, I install an air conditioner box unit in the window. It makes a slight constant noise when on. Usually the place is cool even when it is turned off.
I provide clean linen, clean towel and toilet paper. All your other personal care items should be provided by yourself. There is a 24hr grocery opposite my building where you can get everything you need.
If you are arriving in Toronto from Pearson airport and you require transportation, I can pick you up and take you directly to my home at a minimal fee (cheaper than Uber/Taxi). Just let me know your flight number and send me a message on Airbnb that you need a pickup.
PLEASE NOTE: Under no circumstances will I give out my exact location or contact details unless you have a **confirmed** booking with me. In other words, if your reservation is pending, it is not confirmed. This is an Airbnb security policy and it applies to every single listing on the Airbnb website globally. For an approximate location, you can see the map section in my listing. The map will give you a small radius of my location within my neighbourhood.
For new visitors to Toronto: Generally downtown is more expensive for Airbnb rooms. Please choose your Airbnb wisely as Toronto is a big city. Cheaper does not mean better! The further you stay away from Toronto the cheaper it is, but then you have to spend time to get back to Toronto each time. My place is mid-town (20 mins to downtown by 1 train)
Please do not make a booking and then show up at my door immediately. You must contact me so I can confirm your arrival time.
Please don't walk around inside with your shoes on.
Please help keep a clean scene.
No pets allowed.
No smoking inside the apartment. You can smoke on the balcony but please do not flick cigarette butts over the balcony.
Extra guests are an extra charge.
Turn off the lights/AC when leaving the apartment.
If you loose the key/fob, there is a $100 fee to replace it.
