Description

Le logement

Enjoy the rest and relaxation of your own spacious 1 bedroom home in one of the coolest neighborhoods of SF! Located on a quiet tree-lined street on the hillside of Anza Vista, you'll enjoy this convenient San Francisco flat.

Located on the third floor, with 40 steps up = an amazing view of City Hall, downtown SF and Pacific Heights. Well equiped with wireless internet, Netflix, 65" flat screen TV, fireplace and more! You'll have a wall to wall, and floor to ceiling windows, which allow incredible sunlight on sunny SF days and panoramic views. The bedroom is quiet and darker with one window so you can sleep in if you’d like. The living, dining and bedroom are all separate areas with original fixtures from its 1904 build and design. White walls, picture hang molding and lovely chandelier/lamps in the center of each ceiling give our home a very unique, beautiful, comfy and elegant feel.

Details:

The kitchen is a very large and spacious, having been converted from a bedroom into a kitchen about a decade ago when the original very large home was separated into four units. Enjoy a lovely accent of rouge and noir kitchen items and decor as you flip through Talli's big scrapbook of local restaurants with corresponding SF map with pins of all of our favorite spots, many within walking distance. The kitchen boasts ample counter space, modern appliances, an expandable kitchen table with four chairs and a large bookshelf with Dr. Jesse's personal medical library, the product of a love for collecting antique medical textbooks.

The living room is a mature space, with an antique leather topped lawyer desk from the mid 1900's, originally used in Sacramento, CA at the District Attorney's office and a large comfy black leather couch that sleeps one of our guests. It is not a pull out but it has more than enough space to sleep a 6' person very comfortably. We have fallen asleep on the couch together many nights. Jesse (6') is serious when he says that he has his best nights of sleep on it, not joking at all. There is a large print of Michelangelo's "The Creation of Adam" over the couch that catches particularly beautiful lighting in the morning sun. There is a dark brown wood bar (not accessible to guests) which holds several of our favorite antiques, sitting next to a gas fireplace that also serves the role to heat the home on the few nights where warming is needed. There is a comfy reclining black leather "Man chair" and a bookshelf with Netflix on Apple TV, a big 65" TV, stereo and game console/DVD player on it. The space has a very mature and comfortable feel to it as you will see the moment you walk in.

The bathroom is bright, well lit and clean! We have brilliant blue painted walls with island/tropical/ocean decor dressing the walls and counter space. There is a folding cabinet mirror over the sink which helps to visualize hard to see areas. There is a small stereo and iPod to jam with as you get ready for a night out on the town or as you pamper/steam yourself in our Jacuzzi shower with a trifecta triple shower head system, massage setting et cetera. There is no bath, and California is in a major water drought crisis so short showers are much appreciated. There is even an artisan nail scrub brush in you want to 'scrub-in' like we doctors do for the operating room.

The bedroom sports a very, very comfortable king size Sealy Posturepedic bed with a 3 inch memory foam topper and high thread count plush sheets. You will sleep well on this (Jesse still loves the couch)! The Grey protective blanket on the bed is to protect it from your luggage and your dog, as both will enjoy spreading out on the bed when they arrive. There is closet space and a chest of drawers for you to settle in with. The single window with blinds allows a darkened room for all-night sleeping as well as an excellent afternoon nap spot with warm soft sunlight dancing across the bed. Very inviting!

We are sure you will enjoy our home!

My stay at Jesse and Talli's place was amazing! It is in a fabulous, quiet location, within walking distance to so many great areas and only a short bus ride downtown (the bus stop is on the corner). The bed was super comfy (much appreciated after a long haul flight), the kitchen was big and well equipped and the view of the city lights at night was amazing. I loved the double shower and the laundry in the building was convenient. Jesse and Talli have a detailed house manual which covers just about every question you may have, and they also have a detailed map of eating options in the neighbourhood (with their own approval rating!). If you have any queries they respond immediately and check in occasionally to see how things are going. I had mobile phone issues (my international roaming wasn't working) and couldn't call a taxi to the airport on my departure. Jesse and Talli came to my rescue in the early hours of the morning and arranged a car pick up. They really went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. San Francisco stole my heart, and Jesse and Talli played a part in that. This was my first Airbnb experience, and it was fabulous! When in San Francisco, you have to stay here! I'll definitely be back :)

Jesse and Talli made us feel very welcomed into their home. The description and photos of the apartment were very accurate. They left helpful notes throughout the apartment. Always a nice touch when good craft beer is left in the fridge :) location! location! location! We found it so easy to get around the city from their home via public transportation. We ventured to the areas like the Mission District, Ferry Building, Nob Hill taking the bus. Also so much was within walking distance. It was a breeze to walk over to Target and Trader Joe's to pick up things we forgot. Traveling with our dog and 2 year old son it was nice to be able to walk over to Alamo Square so our son and dog could both play. We had our car and easily drove to Twin Peaks and Lands End from their apartment to watch the sunrise and take a nice morning hike. We had such a wonderful time thanks in part to Jesse and Talli's home. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great week in Jesse and Talli's apartment, which is a lovely apartment - even better than the pictures. Great hosts, went out of their way to help us out and just let us use their place as if it were our own. I'd go back :)

Staying at Jesse & Talli's for NYE was everything we were hoping for! The house was in great shape and true to its descriptions and photos. The view of the city is amazing! The house is close to restaurants and only a short cab ride to Union Square. The neighborhood was lovely and parking was very easy to find. Our Pomeranian Lola also loved her stay and the dog bed that was provided! Jesse and Tali were easy to reach via phone and responded promptly. We were running late for check out and they were very understanding! The frozen fruit for making smoothies was also a very nice touch. Also, the kitchen had a very descriptive map of all the restaurants in the city! Thank you for being such wonderful hosts!

My wife and I stayed at Jesse and Talli's apartment for almost a month because our son was hospitalized at the nearby Kaiser Hospital and we needed a place to stay while going back and forth from the hospital. The apartment was clean, cute and exactly as described. The view from the living room and kitchen was spectacular! Jesse and Talli even wrote us a note and left us a little gift which was extremely nice. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and there is snacks and some food in the fridge for each guest. This was my first experience on Airbnb and I can honestly say it was amazing and am very grateful that Jesse and Talli were so hospitable during a trying time for my family. I have absolutely nothing negative to say and would highly recommend this apartment to anybody. Thank you Jesse and Talli!

We had a very pleasant stay at Jesse and Talli's. The apartment is exactly as pictured and is very roomy for 2 adults plus doggie. If you like to cook as I, the kitchen is nice and big and had all the essentials you would need and a gas stove. We felt very comfortable staying there and you can even see the civic center from the living neighborhood is nice and safe but if you have a car you will have move it every 2hrs if you are staying in for the day before 6pm. I didn't mind so much as it was easy to find another spot and it was free. Thanks for having us.
