Room C is located on the ground floor beside a beautiful, evergreen garden. Our rooms are comfortable and have attached bathroom with plenty of hot & cold water. Our restaurant, Café Mitra, is a popular restaurant with travellers as well as residents of Kathmandu. We serve Continental cuisine with a slight Asian touch. Our bar serves a variety of liquors, cocktails, wines, soft drinks and juices. We also serve local organic as well as Illy coffee, along with non-alcoholic beverages.

Courtyard Garden. Dining room. Small verandah in front of Room A & B. Terrace above the café overlooking an ancient Buddhist shrine dating back to the 11th century.

While respecting the privacy of the guests, we are always ready to give advice and recommendations whenever needed.

We are in the heart of Thamel, the epicentre of Kathmandu's tourist tourism district. It is full of restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, travel and trekking offices. It is also conveniently located, allowing easy access - even on foot - to important historical, cultural and religious highlights that Kathmandu has to offer.

Taxis and rickshaws are plentiful, and most destinations of interest are an easy walk away, such as the Monkey Temple (Swoyambhunath); Kathmandu Durbar Square where Kumari, the Living Goddess, resides; busy local markets such as Ason Tole; Garden of Dreams; Keshar Library; and the former Narayanhity Royal Palace museum.

Café Mitra is our in-house café-restaurant specialising in French and Continental cuisine along with modern Nepali and Chinese food. We have a full bar with cocktails, wines, fine liquor and beverages.

Kunal was a wonderful host, the place was wonderful and very clean. Most astonishing was how quiet the place was, it's in the middle of Thamel yet extremely peaceful. Kunal also was very helpful when had to move the dates around. And the food was just wonderful!

Kunal is so nice and his room is so great: 1. The roon is 100% as same as the pictures. 2. Have individual bathroom and toilet inside the room, which is very convient. 3. The biggest surprise is Kunal's restaurant!Highly recommend that. Everyone living in Kunal's rooms should go to try those amazing dishes haha. 4. Suggestion:the water volume of bath tap is quite limited. Maybe it can be improved in the future?

This charming room was our home for 3 days in May. Where we crashed comfortably after the day's activity. It is ideally located in the heart of Thamel's busy tourist hub, but surprisingly isolated and buffered from the hustle and bustle of the main street. Most of the tourist frequented restaurants/cafes are located just a walking distance from this place. Our host Kunal & "Team Mitra" made sure that we had all that we needed. Though on the first day there was a problem in the supply of tap water they fetched water in buckets for washing up. I am already missing this place and will definitely recommend it. Keep it up "Team Mitra!"

I love living in the heart of Kathmandu, my home city. The lifestyle is easy - sometimes a little too much - so but it means life is generally relaxed and rewarding. I grew up in Kathmandu and when it came to high school off I went to England. This was followed by 3 years in Sri Lanka and 2 years in Switzerland pursuing a degree in Hotel Management. I then jumped on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, The Song of Norway, as a dining room waiter, and travelled to the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Nordic countries as well as pre-Putin St. Petersburg. When I finally returned home to Kathmandu, I opened a restaurant, a business I am still running. I have travelled reasonably extensively within Nepal. Recently, I went to Istanbul and was charmed by its Asian-European culture and vibes. I invite you to visit Nepal with open arms, heart and mind. When you leave, I guarantee you will be in two minds, Should you stay? Or should I linger for a few more days? Looking forward to seeing you all!!!
