Walk 95/Transit 97 scores! Gorgeous loft, high ceilings, original wood floors, heart of Old Philadelphia. Steps from metro, historic sites, art galleries, coffee shops, restaurants, waterfront. 1 mi. to Convention Center; 2 mi. to Museum Mile.

Fantastic locale for your short to long term stay in Philly. You'll feel like a resident of Old City in this beautifully furnished, lovely, spacious, one-bedroom loft in the heart of the most exciting part of the city. With 95 WalkScore, galleries abound, great local coffee shops are just steps away, The Betsy Ross House is around the corner and some of Philly's finest restaurants are within blocks - High Street, Fork, Wedge & Fig, among others. The Arden Theater offers wonderful live theater and is a short block away. 5 minutes to the Market/Frankford subway and buses, walk to Rittenhouse Square or fabulous Reading Market in 15 minutes. A new queen-size bed in the large bedroom, reading area, writing desk and full size living room and newly renovated kitchen will make you feel like you don't want to leave! But you should - go out and explore! (NOTE: Due to our furnishings and apartment setup, no children under 14... Thank you.)

Fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, full bath. WiFi, Roku TV, and browse our wonderful book collection! Elevator access.

We will make sure you get the keys and apartment access, but otherwise, you probably won't see us. A comprehensive guest manual includes lots of information about the neighborhood.

Old City is charming! Cobblestone streets, tiny alleys to explore, galleries and shops, fantastic coffee shops, and the waterfront are all just out the door. Our apartment is great for walking, and there are public parking lots within two blocks. Rated a perfect 100 on WalkScore and 97 for public transportation.

It's a short two blocks to Market Street where the nearest Philadelphia subway (Market/Frankford line)is conveniently located. If you enjoy walking, a 15 minute walk will take you to exciting Northern Liberties, to a shopping excursion to the Reading Market for a taste of real Pennsylvania food, or to Rittenhouse Square and its luxury shops. If you have a car, there's on-street for-pay parking and convenient parking lots within a couple of blocks.

A quiet and small apartment building in an old industrial/manufacturing area in Old City, with elevator or stairs, and a secure lobby. Superb new windows minimize street noise. The occasional clip-clop of a horse-drawn carriage on the street below might make you feel you're back in Benjamin Franklin's neighborhood - and you are!

Charles & Cheryl

We live much of the year in Asheville, North Carolina, in a sweet bungalow in the 5 Points neighborhood - a perfect base from which to explore this exciting region. The rest of the year we are exploring the U.S. and the world, living and learning. Have traveled and lived many years overseas in business and diplomacy, love the outdoors, whether mountains, water or urban vistas. Keen on organic, fair-trade and local business, wherever we are. We continue working and volunteering to support entrepreneurs in the food and beverage world. Enjoy brewery and winery visits, museums and music. Eclectic neighborhoods, local color and eateries. As hosts, we hope to provide a lovely, comfortable home away from home for our guests, and encourage them to enjoy all that Asheville has to offer. Our loft in Philadelphia is another wonderful spot to spend some time. As experienced travelers, we appreciate what it's like to welcome strangers into your home - as your guests, we respect your home as if it were our own, and that means with care.
