À propos de ce logement

Our beautiful apartment is located in the very center of the Old Town in Dubrovnik. Enjoy the fantastic view of the Adriatic sea and the island Lokrum, explore the Medieval Dubrovnik or simply bask in the sun at the nearby Buža Beach.

Le logement

The 55m2 Apartment it is located on the third (top) floor of an ex-renaissance-baroque palace, details of which can still be seen in the interior. One bedroom and a pull out sofa available in the living room can comfortably fit up to 4 people. All rooms have a fantastic view of the Adriatic sea, the island Lokrum and the Old Town.
The apartment is a family heritage of many generations living in Dubrovnik so the interior design is a charming combination of old antique ambient and new modern pieces. As the apartment is set on the top floor in a historical site it is important to note that the ceiling slope is low in some parts of the bathroom, hall and kitchen.

Overall, I would say our stay was okay. While the great qualities of this apartment were even better than expected (perfect location, amazing view, great AC in a very hot city), my boyfriend and I found the "quirks" to be extremely uncomfortable. Because the apartment is older, the ceiling to the bathroom slopes to the floor (visible in the pictures). What wasn't clear from the pictures was that it is impossible to stand in the shower because the tub also slopes up from the floor - anyone over 5' has to sit down into the bathtub, which was a bit gross to me. The toilet was also in a bad spot: anyone with wider shoulders would not be able to sit on the toilet and would have to lean over/crouch because the ceiling was so low. The ceilings in other areas of the apartment are also low and we had to smack our heads several times before figuring out our way around. Considering the cost of the apartment, I would still say it's a good value: you'd be hard pressed to find another apartment with that view at that price in that location. That said, future renters should be aware of some of the less comfortable aspects of the apartment.

Amazing views and location - couldn't be better. Charming, old town pad. Close to everything yet still very quiet. It was exactly as described and just what we were looking for. Check in and out process was super easy. Great communication before check in, with all the important information. We would certainly stay here again and will be recommending it to our friends.

There are a few stairs to climb once you're in the building, but the view and the quiet make it worth it.

Great view from all windows. Several flights of stairs to carry up luggage so this is not suitable for everyone, however the street which is also steps is much easier and less steep than most in Dubrovnik. Also very close to the centre. Two aircon units were a great help sleeping as we arrived in 34c temperatures. Also, being high up meant good breezes when the windows are open. Excellent restaurant near the front door of the building. This is a great place if you want to be inside the old city walls.

My daughter and I just spent 4 fabulous days at this apartment and can attest that the views are indeed as lovely as advertised and the location couldn't be better. We found the apartment to be quiet and equipped with everything we needed. An added bonus is that our interim host, Marija, was able not only to make excellent suggestions for things to do and places to eat, but even arranged the purchase of our tickets for a nice day trip to do the Elafiti Islands tour which we both very much enjoyed. The washing machine was easy to use so we ended up using it more than I thought we would. The only relatively minor drawback to the apartment is that, because of the fact that it is essentially a conversion of the top floor of a historic building, the shower had to be fit in under the eaves. It is therefore impossible to stand up in it unless you are a toddler. But let me be clear--I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Hi! I am an aspiring Croatian songwriter and performing artist. As a M.A. in Architecture, I quit my desk job in 2015. to pursue a career in music. I am passiontaly in love with music and literature, enjoy cooking, good wine, beer, partying, spending time in nature, summer at the seaside, travelling and expanding my horizons in general.
My family origins are from Dubrovnik and our connections with friends and relatives there are very strong. We - my mother, my aunt and my cousin - have tried our best to renovate our cosy apartment and I sincerly hope you will enjoy it at least as much as I do!
