À propos de ce logement
One bedroom apartment in the Notch Brook resort community with beautiful views through large sliding glass doors. There is a summer/winter pool, and tennis courts and a playground are available in the summer. Stowe ski area is eight minutes' drive.
This is a one bedroom apartment in the Notch Brook residential resort community, nestled in the hills overlooking the Mount Mansfield State Forest. We are not commercial apartment renters and this is part of our weekend getaway place (we have an additional, larger property that is also listed here on Airbnb; see the listings on my profile page for details). Both properties can be rented together to accommodate a total of 10 people.
Coming down the entry stairs, you are greeted with a view through the floor-to-ceiling windows out over the hills in the distance. You enter into a large living room with open plan kitchen and island. There is a seating area facing the window, with a large sofa that converts into a double bed, and a big armchair. Most of the long wall is floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors with views over the hills. On the far wall is a dining table with seats for three (or four, if you pull the table away from the wall). There is a television with standard cable in the corner. The kitchen has a fridge, dishwasher, stove, oven, and microwave. The bathroom has a shower over a tub.
Down the short hallway, the bedroom has a queen-size bed (two single mattresses, side by side, for individual comfort) with chest of drawers and closet. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors form the outer wall, with views over the hills. A washer and dryer are located in the bedroom closet. There is artwork throughout.

The resort has a seasonal swimming pool (open in the summer and winter, but not in the spring or autumn), which is heated to hot tub temperature in the winter -- great for relaxing after a day of skiing. Adjacent to the pool are locker rooms with showers and saunas. Please note that the pool has precise opening dates and times, according to the season, so please ask in advance if you would like to confirm that the pool will be open when you are in town. There is also a combination basketball and tennis court and an outdoor playground, which are open during the summer months. The Stowe ski mountain, with year-round vacation and outdoor sports activities, is eight minutes away by car.

You will have the place to yourself, though there is a resort staff that will come by occasionally to service the heating system or perform other routine maintenance.
The apartment is located in the Notch Brook Resort community, a former mountain resort hotel that was taken private a few years ago. You must drive up a steep and winding mountain road to reach the property, so take care during snowy conditions -- snow tires are very helpful!
You will be surrounded by the woods, with views over the hills in the distance. It is quiet, peaceful and beautiful, especially when covered with snow.
While there is a free mountain shuttle service that departs from the bottom of the hill, we recommend you bring a car.
Because we use this property primarily as a winter getaway spot, we are usually here only in the winter and therefore we leave the Christmas decorations up all year 'round. Please be prepared to find the property decorated for Christmas.
The pool has precise opening dates and times, according to the season, so please ask in advance if you would like to confirm that the pool will be open when you are in town. Generally, the pool is open in the summer and winter only, and is closed in the spring and autumn.
Pets may be considered in certain cases, but you must message us for permission before making a booking. There are resort rules regarding pets, and an additional cleaning fee is due for guests with pets. We launder all towels and bedding and have the carpets and upholstery professionally cleaned after pet visitors.
We ask you remember this is a family property and not a modern hotel. If you are looking for the latest amenities or top-notch interior decor, you may wish to book a different place. Our apartment is cozy and comfortable, warm in the winter, and cool in the summer. The interior decor is dated, but it is clean and tidy and it feels like home. We hope you will feel the same way when you arrive.
Please note that the beds in the bedroom are two single beds made up together as a queen bed -- you may choose to leave the beds together or separate them if you prefer the beds to be apart.
We require all guests to complete Airbnb's official verification process, which includes providing a government ID, and a real profile picture.. We have done this already, and we find that it helps to increase trust and transparency, which is better for everyone. Here's a link to information about the official verification process:
Guests are reminded that Airbnb is a house sharing experience, and not a hotel experience. Although a cleaner will come after your stay, this is primarily for dusting, vacuuming, and laundry, so guests must agree to leave the apartment in a neat and tidy condition, without any dirty dishes or food mess in the kitchen, without any rubbish left on floors or surfaces, and without any marks or stains on the floors, carpets, walls, linens, or upholstery. Guests who may not desire to clean up before departure should stay at a full service hotel rather than using Airbnb.
No overnight guests are permitted beyond the total number of guests specified on your reservation confirmation.
Pets may be considered in certain cases, and an additional pet cleaning fee will be due; message us for details. Smoking is absolutely not permitted.
We ask that you treat our apartment with kindness, care and respect. We would do the same if we were to stay at your place.
Si vous annulez jusqu'à 7 jours avant le voyage, vous recevez un remboursement à hauteur de 50 % et les frais de service vous sont remboursés intégralement.
