Gregg and Maril were wonderful hosts. They contacted me ahead of time to be sure that my arrival was smooth, and it was. Coffee and blueberry muffins were waiting for me when I got there. The back porch overlooked a courtyard and apple orchards. They encouraged me to walk the grounds, and it was beautiful. The layout of the home was spacious, and we had plenty of room. I even recommended the "Julian Project" to the other folks that attended the wedding I was in town for. Thank you, Greg and Maril, so very much.

Gregg and Maril are excellent hosts! Friendly, approachable and willing to help make our stay even better than it already was! Awesome bed downstairs, we didn't wake up with back or neck issues, in fact, we didn't want to wake up at all...

Gregg and Maril are the most wonderful hosts I could possibly imagine! Everything was perfect - the room, the common areas, the morning muffins, and Gregg and Maril themselves. They are so welcoming, great communicators both before and during the stay; they even phoned and texted to make sure we were okay! I can't wait to return to their home some day soon.

We stayed one night with Gregg and Maril when we needed to take our son for a one day staff training at Mataguay Scout Ranch. Unfortunately, we never got to meet Maril as she was busy elsewhere but Gregg was an absolutely perfect host. He accommodated our schedule since we were delayed due to weekend holiday traffic, was friendly and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Knowing we had been in the car for several hours, he recommended visiting nearby Lake Cuyamaca to visit an old mine and take an easy short hike. We even got to see some deer thanks to his timing suggestion! The diner he recommended for dinner was excellent with wonderful pie! He made some great suggestions for where to visit the following day while our son was in training. The house and grounds were AMAZING! Comfortable bed and friendly common spaces. We fell asleep listening to the frogs in the nearby pond. I could go on and on with all the positive experiences! Highly recommend staying here if you need to be in Julian or anywhere nearby.

Gregg and Maril are both warm and flexible hosts. We were unsure about our ETA, and Gregg stayed in close contact to accommodate us -- definitely above and beyond expectations. Gregg greeted and oriented us and offered input on local live music and attractions that might be of interest. Both he and Maril are tremendously interesting, lively people. The accommodations were spotless and homelike, and the morning muffins and coffee were a treat (yeah, it doesn't happen like that at my house!). I even looked at the brand of bed sheets because they are so soft and pretty. We had personal business in the area which will bring us back, and we look forward to booking in at the Julian Project with the very cool hosts! (And that woodstove in the living room is divine.)
