À propos de ce logement
Period apartment with a super-king size bed in the heart of Victoria Park Village, in trendy Hackney in East London. Great base for exploring East London's galleries, bars, restaurants and shops. Plus huge Victoria Park is 1 minute walk away.
This is a trendy period house in the heart of Victoria Park Village, fully refurbished in a modern style with original 19th century features.
The bedroom has an incredibly comfortable super-king size bed (2 metres x 2 metres), with feather pillows. The room is cool and quiet overlooking the gardens at the back of the house.
The super-king size bed does not leave much space for anything else in the room(!), but at least there is built-in wardrobe space with plenty of hangers for your clothes.
Spare linen and towels are stored in the cupboards above the bed.
There is free wifi access and hairdryer available.

The apartment is in the heart of Victoria Park Village in trendy Hackney and only 1 minute walk to the 215 acre Victoria Park. There are lots of restaurants, bars and shops in the village, including an award-winning butcher and delicatessen, fishmonger, and 3 lovely coffee shops.
From the park it is a 15 minute walk along the canal to fashionable London Fields and Broadway Market with even more bars, restaurants, microbreweries and a huge food market every Saturday. London Fields also has a 50metre heated outdoor swimming pool.
A 15 minute walk along the canal in the other direction takes you to Hackney Wick, home to the largest concentration of artist studios in Europe, alongside the newly opened Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Other nearby attractions include the famous Columbia Road Flower Market (Sundays), hipster Shoreditch, Brick Lane, and dozens of art galleries and studios.
The apartment comprises the top two floors of a traditional Victorian terrace (with lots of stairs). Guests will have full access to the communal spaces along with their bedroom:
LIVING ROOM: With huge sash windows, a big comfortable sofa and chairs, large dining table and chairs, TV, Bose soundsystem and wifi.
BATHROOM: As with many old London buildings, the bathroom is downstairs, on the same level as the living room and kitchen. But we have recently completely refurbished and refitted it with a luxury toilet, bath and shower.
KITCHEN: Also recently completely refurbished, the kitchen has an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, iron and ironing board, toaster, kettle and fridge-freezer. There is also breakfast bar perfect for two people.

Simon is a self employed graphic designer so may be able to meet you when you arrive to show you around and answer any questions. He can also introduce you to the neighbourhood and recommend bars, restaurants and of course, the best galleries in the area. If he is not available, then we will leave the keys in a key safe.
HOW TO GET HERE:
There are loads of public transport options to get here and get around. Of course it is also really easy to walk everywhere nearby and we'll happily show you the best routes.
City Airport is very close and is just a few minutes in a taxi. London Stansted and London Southend are both convenient as they are East of London so closer to the apartment. Both have direct train services to Liverpool Street Station, which is 2 stops on the Central Line to Bethnal Green.
Gatwick, Luton and Heathrow are much further away. Heathrow is on the opposite side of the city, but is on the Underground so is easy to travel into central London (but can take 2 hours to reach the apartment).
The flat is a 16-20 minute walk (depending on your speed) to either of the nearest Underground stations: Bethnal Green or Mile End (both on the Central Line).
From Mile End station you can also get the 277 or 425 bus (from bus stop G) which brings you directly to Victoria Park Village in 5 minutes.
The 388 bus also goes from directly outside the flat to Bethnal Green Underground Station (one way only).
Homerton Station is 12 minutes walk away.
55 to Oxford Circus (7 minutes walk)
48 to London Bridge (7 minutes walk)
26 to Waterloo (7 minutes walk)
388 to Blackfriars/Embankment via St Pauls and Tate Modern (outside the flat).
There is a bike hire docking station at the end of the road (5 minutes walk).
Children, toddlers and babies are welcome, but please note there are narrow staircases in the apartment, and no stair gates.
No smoking in the house.
You are welcome to use the kitchen and laundry facilities.
Parking outside the house is restricted Monday-Friday 10am-12pm. Parking permits can be provided for a small charge, but should be requested before arrival.
Lots of steps/staircases may make the apartment unsuitable for buggies/strollers and toddlers.
This is a gay friendly house and neighbourhood and we expect our guests to respect this.

Hi, we are Simon and Dan and we live in a recently renovated Victorian terraced flat in the heart of Victoria Park Village in East London. We have lived in London for 15 years and consider ourselves experts in the best places to eat, drink and go out in East London.
We are friendly, fun and well-travelled. Simon is a graphic designer and runs his own business from the home studio, so will usually be around to help with any questions.
We are excited to share our home with our guests and hope they enjoy the area as much as we do.
