A very beautiful traditional, yet modern wooden Thai-style house is located in Amphawa, Samut Songkram, on Meklong River, about 65 km South of Bangkok, one of Bangkok residents' favorite day-and weekend travel destinations.
Darawati is different from others in Amphawa in its wooden structure and style, which is traditional Thai. Sit on high stilts the master bedroom on the west wing of the house accommodates a family of 4 on 2 mattresses laid next to each other on the wooden floor. The mattresses are covered by light white mosquito nets. This is an authentic traditional Thai bedroom, with an air conditioner, and 2 windows. The sister bedroom on the east wing accommodates 2 guests with a real wooden bed. The bedroom has 4 windows open to the lush green environment around the house.

The host is a local tour guide. He can offer useful tips and assistance for guests to experience local life and tourist activities. However, sometimes he may away for work during guest's stay, in which case, his wife will interact with guests instead. A small inconvenience may be that she doesn't speak English well enough.
Cleanliness and non-smoking in the bedrooms will be much appreciated.
